Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Might as well join in on the fun :).

This pic was taken during the Athlone 3/4 a few weeks back. Luckily the photographer was located on the downhill section just after the climb up 'Alpe d'Huez' (18+ miles). In previous years the photographer was positioned on the ascent itself. Not good a good look!

Please note my failed thumbs up and my AWFUL downhill running technique!

Put before the image link and after it.

It should look like your picturelink when you're posting.

TPP (formerly RFR) says it best:
You know what PConn, your beard is an absolute mess. You look like something from the 14th Century. You might have been a decent international class runner in the 14th Century, but that beard does nothing for you. If anything, it makes you slower. What the hell are you PConn? Are you a track fairy with arm sleeves and calf warmers, or a Hard as Nails x-country man with a medieval beard? Sort it out. When you know who you are, come back here and then you just might have some credibility as a moderator.

    Will that do?

A familiar face from St Annes Park Run and environs....and a Naomh Barrog man, if I am not mistaken? I think we may have crossed paths on the football field too!

Thanks RR, the club is in fact Erins Isle, and I still play for them.....didn't you play for BOI? and a soccer team called Castle Rovers? I played in the UCL for a team called Claris, many years ago now. I've run in St Annes a few times, although never particularly well, my pacing has uniformly been dreadful. Officially Malahide is still my "home" parkrun, but there are now at least six venues closer to, or at least a shorter drive from, my house (I moved subsequent to registering; at the time Malahide was the only Parkrun on DNS). Talk about being spoilt for choice on Saturday mornings....

Ah Erin's Isle yes, I remember now, hence the green socks and not red&green!. Yep, played for BOI for a good while but formerly a Skerries Harps man. Castle Rovers, bloody hell, yeah I played one season for them. We won Div 3 that year...ahem! I hung up my boots a few years ago which is partly why I took up the running. Good to see you are still at it.
