Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Thanks for the advice. Will any of these places send junk mail (or any mail) to my address? I'd prefer to keep everything going through email where possible. IrishOpinions say that they will prefer to send things through email but may contact through SMS or post. Has this happened to anybody?

Personally the only things i have got from them through the post are my vouchers and 4 Heinekens for testing purposes!

I just get emails offering surveys - never anything else from them.

I set up a separate e mail address that i only use for surveys, find it handy to have them all together.

Also try red C live, they pay a euro per 5 minutes, not as frequent as irish opinions but pays well enough, they sent a cheque when you hit 50 euro, which is obviously much better than I.O. crappy rewards scheme :p

I priced a book on wowhd today that I had bought last month through Amazon. Amazon was 12.95 while Wowhd is 25.99! That's a dreadful difference. Wowhd has much less merchandise. Fewer books, no second hand options and no items like fishing tackle or the likes.

I think it just depends on what kind of stuff you buy, I find wowhd far cheaper for certain cosmetic brands like Korres & Kiehls that I can't get locally to me. I think it's very much an individual thing! eBay vouchers would be cool.

Or PayPal credit, like other surveys do.

I got a food one today, only for there to be an "error" at the very end.

EDIT: I'm also unable to fill in my IrishOpinions profile with additional information. Clicking "Telecoms, Mobile and Internet" for example, does nothing.

I from time to time do Irish Opinions survey and get 10euro tesco voucher by post, takes them ages to send it but I do get it.

Recently I registered on redclive.ie and I got few surveys so far (over 10). I haven't qualified for any. They first ask you few questions and at the end - sorry you do not qualify, so watch out for this one as I am almost certain it's <SNIP>.

Red C Live are a legitimate company, once you clock up 50 points they send you a cheque for €50. I got my second €50 cheque on Monday, have yet to get to a bank to cash it! But there are a good few surveys I don't qualify for, they have a fairly extensive set of demographic type questions at the beginning of every one.

Like now I got survey about whiskey .. they ask me my age, location etc etc and if I buy whiskey and how often. I said I buy it once a month and I still didn't qualify (unless they are looking for people that do not drink whiskey at all which is unlikely).

They are getting way too much information for free I think.

I got that one too and like you I didn't qualify. It wasn't as long winded as some other surveys I didn't qualify for though. There will be others that you'll get credit for.

Red. C are very legitimate. Also very particular about accuracy. They can be slow to build up the 50 euro but great to get a cheque.

I got an email today to say Amazon are back!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,207 ✭✭✭maximoose

    Hmmm, it say when?

Got a survey this morning for Sky that asked a ridiculous level of questions before telling me I'm unsuitable. Stupid ones like that annoy me.

Due to circumstances out of our control, we can no longer offer Amazon.co.uk Gift Certificates on Irish Opinions. We apologise for any inconveniences this may cause you. We're working on adding new reward options in the very near future.

That does not surprise me. I couldn't check myself as my credit is at 9.75 with over 15 pending. Very odd to reply like that though!

Yea I'd say that's cos WOW HD is now the only one they can issue instantly. I'd say a lot of the Amazon crowd has swapped over to that for the time being. Personally im gona keep stockpiling credits and see what (if anything) they get to replace amazon. If nothing comes along ill claim a load of tesco vouchers at Christmas get a wad of shopping done out of it. :p

Pissed off with this does anyone know of another survey site that pays with Amazon vouchers?

'IE.My SURVEY.COM'have decent reward options including amazon, they pay in points which are used to redeem vouchers, big downside the surveys are very sporadic and payment is quite poor compared to other sites

Red C live worth a look, they pay a euro per five minutes for their surveys and sent a cheque when you hit 50 euro, again invites not that regular, took me 5 months to hit my first 50 but decent payers IMO

I've used IO for some time and got about €200.00 worth of Tesco gift cards from them. I don't get the time to do all the surveys they send. I just do the odd one when I watch TV and have the laptop close. I normally forget about them and only login every few months and cash out. It takes about a month to get them and I must say they do come in handy.

For years I also used another site called Clixsense and they use PayPal and they reasonably good with a variety of things you can do to make a few quid online. It's donkey work, but handy if you have nothing better to do....:)

That was quick, James. I usually have to wait weeks for Tesco vouchers. I find the Boots ones are faster.

I claimed a Tesco voucher on the 11th of this month, the wow hd option was also there but Amazon was not.

Doesn't look as if they'll have amazon for the forseeable future as it's still withdrawn completely from their vouchers page. No idea about wow-hd though.

I don't seem to qualify for any surveys at all currently. Even if I get started, I invariably get booted out after a few minutes!

I don't really know what to do with my credits now that the Amazon vouchers are gone.

I sympathise. Tesco offy for me I suppose, or Soap and Glory smellies from Boots... I love Amazon more though!

I joined a few years ago. Don't expect make money out of it as they imply. I have earned a few hundred euros over the years and use it to buy on Amazon. I get a few euros a month.

I go for Tesco as one always has to eat, handy enough, just not enough of them. Dont qualify for most of them.

Waiting since the 11th, will post back whenever it shows up. This is part of the reason I always went with the Amazon vouchers but alas they are no more :)
