FSA Premier League Thread 15/16

I'll get this rolling, fixtures will be up soon, just hope I don't have Lemlin week 1 as I'll have no chance to give him the week long spiel.
Zarquon defends his title, perhaps somebody will be good enough to post the Boards names next to the team names and I'll paste it into this opening post.
    Good luck all.

    Thanks to TomK

Who's captain cummo?? Promoted team I'd say, first time I've played anybody with the same surname as me!

Would have been an easy three points for the Commandos.

I reluctantly joined the bandwagon. On series 3 at the moment. It was either that or a Jesse style rant :

So I went to the fixtures dude and said Yo bitch! Who am I up against? I am just totally going to waste his ass! And he said "Los Pollos Hermanos" So I'm up against an entire restaurant chain? What's up with that? It's...it's...it's Kafkaesque!

You have so much happiness in your near future. But probably not from your H2H result this week ;)

You're on top of this one it seems. 32 (incl bonus) against my 24 (incl bonus). I do have 6 players to your 4 but that will hardly matter unless Arsenal perform very well. Fingers crossed for a clean sheet in that one :)

The odds are in your favour.

We both have Bellrin, Sterling and Benteke so it's your 11 plus Payet v my Mane and Milner

Yeah I'm still very conscious of how quickly that could change.

Looks like a bad start for my minnows in the Premier League. The manager could be gone by Christmas

3 points in the bag unless Sterling goes into minus figures.
Still don't know who my opponent is though (Captain Cummo)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,550 ✭✭✭✭CSF

3 points for me also. ScienceNerd next.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,251 ✭✭✭✭Lemlin

Who is VaudevillianVeterans? I lead by six points but he has Aguero to play which could change everything.

Unlucky with sub order as well. Coates to come in with -1 while Richards sits back.

42-42 once autosubs are in and my aguero v his silva and bony

Kolarov Mane leads The Colour of Matic 36-19 with my Aguero v Sterling.

    Safe enough I'd say.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,070 ✭✭✭tom_k

Comfortable enough win incoming with a 12 point lead over IDontKnowWhatImDoing who had the misfortune to have two players (Courtois and Kaboul) with minus scores. We both have Sterling to play.

    I'm Depay me by Cech.

Here's the (hopefully error free) full list of competitors in the FSA Premier League 2015/16. Would be great if Swiper (as he already suggested) can paste this list into his opening post for handiness. Team IDs are in bold as team names may change. Let me know if I've made any mistakes and I'll correct them.

So you are Devestated? You bloody lucky b@st@rd that can make up 5 pts with flukey autosubs  :P :pac:...

Hope now that Aguero makes a Walcott :P.

My Walcott+Huth over Ramsey+Gomez/Cédric could be costly here...

A win for the Commandos. Nice to take 3 points despite the lads not playing well.

3 points comfortably in the bag here too. Also won my other h2h in one of my way too many pay leagues.

Winning start here too. Yaya cost me moolah H2H unless Silva gets the dubious award! In 11 pay leagues myself and had another 5 good pay leagues that i had no room for!

11 as well. Thankfully 2 of them are shoe ins!

Jesus, just realised that the guy in the Moolah league had Kompany. Still win by 1 point, only cause neither of his 4.0 bench defenders play so he has nobody coming in for Baines.

I'm starting the season like I finished last :). A good win against the joint third best score of the league to give me top spot :D (I know, very early days, but still, nice to lead this super competitive league for a week at least ;)). Hopefully I can keep the momentum going.

Up against Dearg81 this week. Strikers and defence are fairly similar. Midfield is where the key differences are.

I brought in Payet last night for Walcott. I hope I dont regret that move.

I took him out for Mahrez earlier in the week. Payet looks a good pick. I am keeping an eye on him.

Looking decent for a 2nd win at the moment. Sterling, Ramsey, Ritchie and Francis vs Bellerin and 26 points. Sterling and Ramsey the likely players who could turn that sort of gap around.

Guys, happy to announce that entirely down to finnharpsboy, we will have a 125 euro cash prize for the winner of the FSA Premier League.

Still fundraising if anyone can source any further prizes, and I will continue to filter down any cash prizes using the same split decided on between myself and finnharpsboy. 50% will go to the Premier League. The other 50% will be filtered down to the other leagues proportionally.

I'm the Liverpool of the FSA Premier League, champion before the big money hit the league, destined to be counting the pennies while the new elite splash the cash to consolidate their position !

Leading Liverpool of the FSA Premier League (:p) 30-27 despite my 4 pts hits.

5 players left each, though this include my captain Benteke. And it'll be mainly down to him, I reckon.

    ---

Fair play to finnharpsboy for the prize :).

Looks like I've taken a big scalp this week from Swiper, despite only hitting a miserable 22 with 3 to play

And dare I say I was generous enough to give zarquon a 4 pts lead :D...

    You b@st@rd :pac:!

Though you must be going senile since I don't know whom you did give your head start to last year but it certainly wasn't me. I started mid third of the table for about 2 months, then I slowly sank to the bottom third of the table, flirting dangerously with the relegation zone that I managed to always avoid and I finished like a bullet (I'd be curious to know my second half of the season rankings).

Oh and just to refresh your apparently senile memory, here is how you really won last year :p :pac:
