Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Does anyone know what time the Florence and the machine / Snow Patrol gig is on at on 8th July in Phoenix Park?

    Thanks!

    Rough guess:

    FATM: 8ish
    Snow Patrol: 9.30ish

Ok, you think its in the evening cheers!

Gates open at 3, and since it's in a fairly residential area with the zoo being closeby also, and only one other support (Temper Trap), I'd say your times could be wrong. Temper Trap on at 5 at latest, FATM at 6, Snow Patrol at 7.30 would be my guess

Is it not a Snow Patrol-FATM joint gig, the two were promoted together and announced together, so should they not be playing on stage at the same time?

No.. It's a Snow Patrol headline with FATM supporting

Is there anywhere I could find this information out for sure?

Not until closer to the date unfortunately. MCD might provide stage times, but other than that the only way we'll have an idea is when the first Phoenix Park concert takes place (I think it's July 6th.).

If say they will have a curfew for 10.30/11 for these gigs so cant see Snow Patrol going on at 7.30 it will be at later than that

Tickets keep getting released on Ticketmaster, why would anyone pay this amount for tickets that are technically not sold out?

Just seen one for €175

  • Registered Users Posts: 346 ✭✭LeoGilly

Anyone have an idea of when the next batch of tickets will be released?

Your best bet is just to keep checking Ticketmaster every so often, either that or have a look on Toutless:

(A few people who posted on there ended up getting tickets through Ticketmaster anyway).

Other than The Temper Trap... probably just a promising local act added closer to the date.

Anyone recommend parking near the Phoenix Park, I've never been to a concert in park area so I'm pretty much lost, From looking at Google maps it seems to be Heuston station.

Another question I have is where is the event held at? The Park is huge what side or road is the event area near?

If you are coming into town from Motorway way id recommend parking at the Red Cow roundabout and getting the luas to Heuston and walking to the gig from there

Anyone know what part of Phoenix park the concert is set up in, trying to work out how far of a walk it will be from Heuston?

  • Registered Users Posts: 187 ✭✭airman737

Anyone know about the security when entering the gig. Wondering can I bring in fold up chair, and alcohol? Was at mumford and sons in salthill a few weeks ago, and nothing was allowed in, apart from yourself:-(

    I seriously doubt it

What'd be the easiest way to get to the venue by bus? I know the 46a goes up to the Phoenix Park but that leaves you at the opposite end. Anything that goes a little closer?

The only thing about getting a bus is that you might get stuck in traffic going up by the Pheonix Park

Any idea of stage times for next week?

Seems to be a lot of boardies going which is always a good thing! ;)

Yessss I was worried I wouldn't be able to get the day off work but I'm only in until 4 now so can make it out! Now time to start getting really excited for it.

I think this is going to be my 7th or 8th time seeing snow patrol and they never let me down!

Well it's my only option so I'll just have to deal with that! :)

Does anyone know what time it'll be over? Have to use public transport but as it's a Sunday everything will stop around 10pm-ish.

It's probably been answered already but I'm not reading the whole thread.

Are Snow Patrol or Florence and the Machine on last?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,034 ✭✭✭✭Basq

Snow Patrol are headlining so they'll be last.

I'd def bring wellies it's going to be very muddy if we get the rain they're expecting and as you said with the other concerts on thurs and sat night there will be plenty on footfall to muddy up the grass.
