Yes Charlie, we had problems on the existing 8th green over the last few winters it was getting very wet and tall trees were shading it so growth was poor - as you know it's in quite a hollow anyway. We replaced the turf and we are just back playing on it last few weeks but it had already been decided to clear out the trees that were behind it and put in an entirely new green. Should be ready next year. Same goes (hopefully) for a new 9th tee box which will go up behind where that new 8th green is and will cut out that cross over we have at 8th fairway / 9th tee box. Will make the 9th a much trickier hole as you will have to keep left to avoid OOB / trees down the right.

Excellent stuff, that cross over was a bit of a pain alright.
Going to be a very tough tee shot on 9 now if its behind that new green, are players going to be tempted to go over some of the trees? Won't be driveable any more then?0 -
