Have to say, I can't get my head around this mooncup thing at all!

Tampons and sanitary towel at night.

    Periods ftl.

Tampon/liner combination, just in case...considering trying mooncup, apparently many advantages including non-messy sexy time.

Tampons all the way - would not be into a mooncup...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 191 ✭✭do you love it?

does anyone else find the idea of the mooncup a little bit gross, like the whole take it out and wash it thing seems kinda odd to me.....

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,440 ✭✭✭GirlInterrupted

I might give it a try for a while, I don't think it's anymore gross than a used tampon or towel. I thought it would be smaller for some reason, and I don't think sex would be an option with it in thats for sure! A pity really because I thought unmessy sex would be a big plus.

Yes I do - from my image of it i can imagine it filling up then sploosh when you take it out. AM sure I am wrong but to me its like a urine bag after an operation

I've said it before and I'll say it again...how can the mooncup be anymore gross than shoving a bunch of cotton up your gee.

Women don't loose THAT much blood per day with a period it just looks like more then it's all spread out and soaked up by a pad in truth it's about a shot glass full and a moon cup can cope with that ammount easily.

Ah yes, but you don't wring out a tampon and then shove it back up there! :p

Ah yeah, agreed. It's not the blood that bothers me, it's the pain. If the mooncup could relieve that I'd be very swiftly converted.

Ah its not about squeamish, its just well horrible. I honestly would rather not have them at all. I know they serve a purpose but they **** you up a week every month. Messy fncking things.
