Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yeah that's fair enough just looked through a few more bits now and they are a bit.

They don't look that badly priced for a retro shop. I've seen much worse and all their gear looks in pretty decent nick. If someone goes to the effort of cleaning the gunk out of the controllers etc, i'm happy to pay a little extra for saving me the hassle. If i didn't need the money to keep a roof over my head i'd go for the boxed pikachu n64 and boxed Jaguar.

Hmm, I just got a virus/malware popup about that http://www.retroscene.co.uk/ website the second I opened it.
It was for that new crrss.exe virus thats popping around the last week or so(a lot of anti-virus software still doesn't pick it up yet).

Might be a coincidence but be careful folks.
It's about 12kb in size and is delivered via websites using Javascript.

    Edit:
I actually clicked on 2 links(so it could be either of those sites), that www.retroscene.co.uk and another that I cant list as it belongs to someone here so don't want to bad mouth anyone. It's probably the retroscene one as I've clicked the other site before, or just a coincidence and I got it from somewhere else. MS Security Essentials caught it before i got infected by the way.

They're not excessively expensive, but they are on the dearer end of the scale. Factor in overseas delivery too & it could get quite costly.

@Steve, I also got the malware warning. Avast to the rescue

Never seen a copy like that before. Were PAL Saturn games sealed like that? I don't recall them being so.

Was that on the retroscene site? If so I reckon we steer clear of it.
If it was on a website that belongs to a member here we should probably let them know.

I seem to remember seeing something like that before in stores around the time the Saturn was active. Not sure though, it may have been just a drunken dream/hallucination as I was an atavan style piss head around that time(sorry atavan, you know i say it with love).

Best to avoid so as that virus is a nasty fecker if your anti-virus/anti-malware doesn't catch it.

Damn sorry for posting that link. I don't have any anti-virus (ran malware bytes after you posted about it yesterday and found nothing)
    Removed original link anyway

The seller has obviously not found issue with you. The whole adverts system is gone to pot...it's more like an auction these days, only with less rules

Already sold(for $2500) and I wouldn't have bought it but a very nice item for a collector all the same.

How will a Ninty Fanboi know where the buttons are without the nice bright colours to guide him/her?
I mean, that Gamecube controller looks nothing like a V-Tech Smile controller, nothing like the babies teething toy it normally resembles!
An average Ninty fan would crumble into confusion at such a sight....
No, they should just give it to me, I'll look after it, no worries

Actually, having read the auction, how hard would it be to turn it "functional"?
Would that be a terrible thing to do??
    I reckon it'd be cool...

all in working order but for the restore button sticks

I take it he means the reset button is full of gunk & sticks down?

It's worth the 20 and everyone should have a Megadrive and Sonic, everyone.

Like owning a Snes and SMW, or a Nes and SMB3 or Duckhunt, everyone should have them.

Ebay item title suggest it's just the PCBs, but from reading the auction I think he's selling sit down driving cabs?

I'd read that like he was selling the Sega Model 3 mobo that the game runs off, this thing here: http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=718. Not familiar with it myself, is the game itself just a bunch of ROM chips sitting on top? Sounds like he's stripping the cab itself for parts too.

Seems a bit odd that he'd strip the cab for parts and sell it all individually? You think he'd try to sell it as one unit. Maybe there's something wrong with it and he doesn't realize it can probably be fixed?

I missed out on one of my grails this morning. Outbid in the last few seconds. Probably for the best, as I don't really have the money for it at the moment, but they don't come around very often at all!

You know, if those eproms were blank, they'd still be better to play than 99% of the games on the Jag!

The 3DO dev kit is a little underwhelming, isn't it?
And I love my 3DO, pity that.... :(

Now, an M2 dev kit... that'd probably melt my retinas with unparalleled beams of glory!
