I love Lee. The chemistry between him & Faye is insane. Take note Dekker, there is a leading man. Trouble for Faye? Yay! Some of the greatest moments in the show are based around Faye's drama.

this show has improved. I had all but given up on it and was leaving new episodes on the long finger after Christmas but I watched the two new ones last night and was fairly impressed. It's still not compelling stuff but is quite watchable.

Echoing what was said above, I took it that Diana's grandmother was actually her dad's sister or sister in law and, in fairness, her dad doesn't look old enough to be her dad, or her teacher old enough to be her dad's age either. It looks like the kids are actually waiting to spawn later than their parents and grandparents by the looks of it!

Same I thought the granny was diannas dads sister, I could swear diana called her aunty.

You're right. I think she did, and I didn't bat an eyelid and then I later found out she was her granny, and thought, Whoh there!!!!

Hardcore stuff = slitting throats  , i was open mouth when Jake's dad got off....pretty gruesome stuff this week, i'll praise one again the excellent and stylish stuntwork/effects.

Terrific slo-mo stunt firework, good flashback eppy and sidestory of Callum and psycho Eva on the way...... overall a very solid offering.

I find every episode of this show to be consistently entertaining and action packed every week, unlike with some other shows where some weeks you feel a bit short changed after some episodes. Each episode has lots of new story arcs, action, drama and no filler, great show, I really dont see much difference between amny of the episodes, theyre all amazing!:)

oh ye one more thing, I started watching a show which Ive heard good things about called Pretty little liars. Excellent show, even better than this,Im hooked on it! And if you like this youll love PLL. I find the shows to be really alike, not the story or anything but the look of the show , and the same sort of dialogues between characters and the characters are very similar.I'd 100% recommend PLL if you like this :)

Ahh...good old PLL....it's like the milkman, always delivers :p
If you like PLL and you must see The Lying Game....they are like twins [pun intended condering TLG has twins] ;)

Though i don't think PLL and TSC have anything in common, two very different shows.

The shows arent very much alike but the characters are, I dont know I just think
    Spencer=Diana...very similar characters
Aria=Cassie...sort of the leaders similar personalities
Emily=Melissa...both kind of quiet but with an ascertive slightly darker side.
Hanna/Faye ..not alike not much in common at all.
    Sean=Adam
    Fayes mom=Hannas mom
Then you got the parents and the boyfriends and each characters own little home scenarios and story arcs.. all quite alike.
I think TSC is sort of like a magic-ey version of PLL, Ok theyre not twins but theyre definitely similar in some ways.
Oh thanks I'll definitely watch the lying game sometime:)

Another amazing ep. Loved the flashback stuff and I hope we get to see more of the original circle at their finest. John Blackwell is one badass MoFo. I just know he's gonna end up being one of my favourites.
Any thoughts on who the woman was who could see Cassie. Did they say? Maybe I missed it.

Btw, is it just me or is anyone else totally hating the continuous sidelining of Melissa?

Yep, shes hardly been in the show since her boyfriend died, Which is bad because shes a good characters.

Oh I hope not. Melissa has just really begun to come into her own a little. Standing up to Faye, getting along well with the other girls, moving on from Nick a little... Bah. I do agree though that Diana isn't being utilised at all. Her role seems to revolve around Adam and his drama, and Cassie and her drama. I hope she starts to get some drama of her own. Maybe then we'll get to see some of her actual character, because so far, I don't think she has any. I wonder what Diana's mother was like, because both her father and his mother are fairly devious and obviously capable of murder.

Regarding the woman who saw Cassie; I assumed that the woman was actually seeing the young Jake. It was his memory after all, and that might explain how he escaped the fire. I also found it interesting that Blackwell dropped that medalliony thing.

They need to get rid of Thomas Dekker sharpish. I cant stand his character in the show. He sounds like he is channelling Christian Bale in Batman and he is totally unconvincing as a love interest for Cassie. Speaking of which Jake is a close second in the bad acting stakes. He is attrocious. Lee is the only worthwhile male character. More of him and Faye please. The chemistry between those two is fantastic

Very good today! Lots of action indeed. Looks like we will be seeing John Blackwell next week. Cassie can really go dark side when she wants to!

Charles would probably have been better off leaving Dawn dead tho...

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,263 ✭✭✭DeWitt

Ugh, I swear to God I was crossing my fingers & toes hoping someone would bitch slap Adam's face. This love triangle thing is really starting to grate on me now, and it's even worse because there's zero chemistry between Cassie & Adam. Saying all that though it was another good ep.

How cute was flirty devil's spirit Melissa? Adorable. Finally the writers are giving her something to do.

Lucy was all sorts of awesome. Nice addition to the show, and it's a pity she couldn't stick around for longer. Would have loved to see Dawn get her revenge. They really like slitting throats on this show don't they?

Faye & Jake together again! It won't last, but yay for added tension between Cassie. I want a legit catfight, highheels & brass knuckles ¬_¬

"Daddy" - Wow, that was creepy.

Um, so how many episodes have the CW ordered for the season? I'm presuming 22 :/ Can't wait to see how it all ends epecially if Blackwell is sticking around for the coming weeks.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,263 ✭✭✭DeWitt

    Some pictures floating around online
of Cassie meeting Blackwell, and OMFG he looks so handsome. Sully's still got it http://www.tvline.com/2012/02/secret-circle-season-1-episode-15-blackwell-photos/#295162-2-Return

Also, I've been seeing a lot of fan speculation after last night's episode that Melissa might be the 2nd blackwell child. She's always conveniently distracted via Nick grief, and now the devil's spirit to fully explore her dark magic. Then there's the fact that she felt the magic first during the medallion ritual.

    Nudity.... :eek: ....side boob......... :eek::eek:
    I did a frame-by-frame advance just to confirm ;)

Best part was the church scene, dark as hell....but weird subplot with stoned off their face witches snogging random guys, tbh i found ep. 13/14 a little off and weird...not upto the standard of other eps.

Least Blackwell returns next week and coma girl vs. Faye should be fun! ;)

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,263 ✭✭✭DeWitt

I thought the girly stuff was pretty fun. I honestly couldn't stop laughing. A pity Adam couldn't take some of the devil's spirit stuff, he might actually become tolerable.
    Very excited for next week.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 21,634 ✭✭✭✭Richard Dower

Meh....ep. 15 was rather boring and kinda crappy, weird tone to the ep. - Blackwell's return was kinda meh considering he has no powers + looks like a guy coming back for redemption.

Him not being a badass baddie kinda mutes the whole point of him, they need to start moving this Eva plot forward, Dekker continues to annoy the hell out of me...as does his eyebrows

Jake is a bit of a squre jawed fool as well, Melissa gets no screentime....if i was the actress i'd be worried about my job come seasons end

Shelley Hennings boobs seem to have gotten alot bigger recently......
Not much to report really....overal, meh

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,988 ✭✭✭SirDelboy18

In terms of Blackwell, there is certainly more to that story and the guy is not as squeaky clean as he is making out IMO.

    I completely despise Adam.

I'm relatively intrigued by the witch hunter chap, that should turn into something good.

Not sure I'm liking the Jake direction recently, he clearly has the most chemistry with Cassie so they should be the main couple. I know in the books that Cassie and Adam are the big duo, but the on screen version seems beyond forced.

The rest of the girls are equally hot and fairly entertaining, but I do echo the concerns about Melissas screen time

Psycho Eva!....man that Alexia Fast is gorgeous...naturally beautiful, Pheobe Tokin is caked in makeup all the time, i'd prefer Eva over Faye.....but Eva gone nuts and killed Lee!?....or is he dead, sure looked it!

Actually liking Blackwell more each ep. - think the actor is doing a good job in the role, not much arc progression save for Cassie getting more "dark".

But....that stunt on the football field!!!!!!!!!!...wow, amazing stunt....never seen anything like that before, pure quality!, meh @ Diana....either give her a plot or kill her off!, she adds nothing.....poor Melissa....she has nothing to do.

Next week looks REALLY good though! :D

Missed a lot of episodes. Just read the recaps before tuning in to this.

And still the entire universe revolves around teh chosen one. I don't know why I bothered.

At the end of that promo....
A womans voice says "someone in your circle will die".... it better be f*cking Adam.

Didn't think the last two eps were good. Like flogging a dead horse the Adam scenes were poor....again....as they always are

The new guy from Oz scenes I thought were poor. I've nearly stopped watching this show. Will see how it goes in the next ep

    About Lee
I didn't think he was going to be killed, but in the promo it looks like his body is on a bed where Faye sees it? So yeah it looks like he is dead

Really Liked Thurs Nights Episode. The Blackwell back story is quiet intriguing. Also Fayes Mother and Blackwell seem to have an interesting history-
could Faye be the other Blackwell Child(Im thinking Faye or Jake at this point)

Next Weeks Ep Looks Promising too.

I think it is Faye. The history between Dawn and blackwell, the fact that Cassie saw Faye's dreams AND the fact that the girl that was healed using Faye's magic ended up with dark magic of her own.. (emotion driven, door slam followed by murder).

Nice twist with Blackwell too. Was beginning to find him a bit boring.

Delighted that Blackwell broke up the gruesome twosome!, some good acting from Robertson....when she broke down crying, her face....those tears, you wonder what she was recalling in her head to make her cry that real.

Some good wirework again this week, lots of plotholes re: Lee....um, what is gonna happen to the body or Eva?, is she getting locked up in the looney bin?....they're not just gonna gloss over that whole thing are they?

Jaysus...i bet they'll just not mention it again, but c'mon!....Eva needed to be arrested or in hospital, sloppy writing...but you expect nothing less from those two clowns who wrote for Smallville.

Faye seemed to get over Lee's death pretty quick too. Another WTF moment.

1x19: The other Blackwell child is revealed  :D
THE OTHER BLACKWELL CHILD IS REVEALED — To protect themselves from the witch hunters, Jake (Chris Zylka), Cassie (Britt Robertson) and Faye (Phoebe Tonkin) seek out Jake’s grandfather Royce, (guest star John de Lancie) to find his family’s crystal and are confronted with disturbing theories about the events of sixteen years ago. Meanwhile, Diana (Shelley Hennig) tries to balance her pursuit of the Glaser crystal with Melissa (Jessica Parker Kennedy) and Adam (Thomas Dekker) with her romantic life with Grant (guest star Tim Phillipps), who demands to know what she’s hiding. At the same time, Callum (guest star Michael Graziadei) attempts to re-insert himself into Melissa’s life. Charles (Gale Harold) and Jane (guest star Ashley Crow) plot their move against Blackwell (guest star Joe Lando). Omar Madha directed the episode written by Micah Schraft (#119).

    http://www.spoilertv.com/2012/03/secret-circle-episode-119-crystal-press.html

^ my guess is Melissa....her and Blackwell shared a moment in the last ep., the way Melissa looked at him....but i'd be OK with Faye, that would make for good fun!, if it's Diana...meh!, but at least it would give the actress something to do, the way she's going she could go off screen and i'd never notice.

  • Registered Users Posts: 205 ✭✭trendy88

Sweet. Care to wager a guess? My money's on Faye.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,263 ✭✭✭DeWitt

I'm hoping for Melissa too. Gives the girl a little bit more to do.

Not a bad eppy last night, loved Blackwell's speech + the ending....a-ha!, so he did sacrifice a human, he's eeeeeevil ;)

LOl'd @ the stuff with Melissa and Faye going for the jock guy with aid of Adam, more nice wirework this week....i guess it's buliding to an epic battle between the circle and witch hunters for the finale....hopefully someone dies.

    :D

Jaysus! - i watched the 1x19 promo, the bleedin' thing gives away who the other Blackwell child is
    Faye

    Idiots....no surprise really, http://www.spoilertv.com/2012/03/secret-circle-episode-119-crystal.html

Mindgames. It's all in the editing. I still say it's Melissa.
    To quote an IMDBer
    So it's definitely not...
... Faye who's the Balcoin child. If she were, the promo for the next episode wouldn't have been so obvious about it. If there's one thing 30+ years of watching television has taught me is that they never make big reveals in promos. The last time I fell for that trick was when D'Anna appeared to be revealed as a final five in a Battlestar Galactica promo. After that, I swore to myself never to trust promos again haha.

Who's bringing back Nick, Eben or John?

Gosh darn it I really wanted it to be Melissa
Also, I was expecting the reveal to be really epic, but nothing :(

Anyone else hit a personal bum note when the Circle's birthdays were shown onscreen? They're mostly '95 babies. Good God I feel old.
