Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey folks,
OK i'm looking for recommendations of a good dentist in Dublin city centre area, either north or south Dublin. I don't just want to walk into a random one not knowing if they come highly recommended or not. The reason is I have to get internal bleaching done on one tooth, it's a costly procedure(for a student) and I want it to be done well, naturally.
So if you guys could help out it would be great.
    Appreciated.

There is a really good website called http://whatclinic.com and you can look for quotes and tells you where the dentist is located. I found that really good start for looking for dentists and most up there have good reputations and good customer reviews!
    :)

I am the world's worst going to the dentist.

Seriously, I find surgery less daunting.

Luckily I found this gem of a Lady a few years back, been going to her since. She's excellent and in the Donnybrook/D4 area. PMs sent to previous thread queries. pm me if you want her details.

I'd also be interested to hear from someone about a dentist who is good with nervous patients! I'm D7 based but will travel anywhere, including surrounding counties if need be. I haven't been in far too long (about 10 years) and despite not having any aches i have to get them seen to very soon, i'm pretty sure ill need some work but i get panicky at the very thoughts of it! I hate the feeling of loss of control and have memories of even freaking out on getting a simple x-ray as a child (got through it though, just!)

    Hi,

Looking for a dentist who is good (like, real good!!) with nervous patients. Dublin 1/2 preferred, but anywhere in Dublin will do.

    Recommendations by PM.

    Thanks

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,006 ✭✭✭WithCheesePlease

I finally went on a recommendation and saw a dentist in the Dublin 3 / 5 area last night and was very happy.

I only had a check-up, clean and polish (thank God! :)) but was very happy with the dentist's manner and attitude. Was also very relieved that they didn't try to chance fillings on me that I didn't need or try to sell whitening or any other cosmetic treatments to me.

Oh - and it was €35 for the clean and polish, the check-up was covered by PRSI.

I would happily recommend this dentist to anyone. Just PM me for details if you're interested...

I have had a lot of work done there and think that they are reasonable to their work as an extremely good service

    Best of Luck!
