I lol'd at Lesley punching Eileen shame they killed her off having her beat the crap outta Eileen and Paul would have been gas :p

They should have let her loose on Norris and Scary Mary. Come to think of it, she could have got Tommy out of his sticky situation with the loan shark too! That was some right hook she had.

I was impressed with Eileen's acting tonight. I thought it was top-notch.

I could not believe Eileen just fecked off and left Lesley alone in the house tonight. Call someone to watch her while you calm down or something, idiot! They just seemed to assume she'd be grand, despite normally needing constant supervision.

I had a total craving for cheese on toast after watching it though. :o

Yeah, it was a bit much. Surely Jason would have sat with her while Eileen got herself together.

Mind you don't use the toaster to make your cheese on toast...

    Unless you have toaster pockets.

Why the hell did Paul take her out of the care home, though?! Surely that was the best place for her :(

I thought it was a bit much "I was only gone for a minute" NO! you left and went over to the cafe.
    I couldnt watch the electrocution

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,205 ✭✭✭jos28

The electrocution scene reminded me of when Ken's first wife died. She was also electrocuted but it was a hairdryer not a toaster !

I thought it was well done, her hair was standing on end before she hit the floor

Paul has a hard neck lecturing Eileen on leaving Lesley alone! Remember he went off and left her sitting on the ground crying after she'd been cutting up the wedding photos????

Watched this weeks Corrie on the player this evening. What I learnt this week:

Kirsty is a cow, on her first day in work she insults all her co-wokers as being intellectually beneath her, even after she apologised she was still contemptuous of them. Way to go girl!

WTF was Tommy doing giving Terry the £9,000 on top of the £10,000 he already gave him when he knew Terry was a con man. :(

The Alzheimers story was one of the worst Corrie has ever produced on a serious social/medical issue. The actress who played leslie is either badly directed or never bothered to research her role properly.

Eileen can act so try to give her some proper storylines and not one as daft as this.

Norris is an insensitive cnut and normally nobody would have anything to do with him or his shop. His charachter can be funny though.

Actor who plays David Platt has repeatedly proved that he can't play a drunk so please don't script him as one again.

Sunita has a great arse, no wonder Karl always grabs her there first.

Where the hell has Julie gone after her terrible news, quickest recovery from a serious op that I've ever seen.

.....and I've said it before, so I'll say it again, too much of Corrie is filmed in the intensive care unit of Weatherfield General Hospital.

Why the hell did Paul take her out of the care home, though?! Surely that was the best place for her :(

She walked out of it though it's supposed to be a secure unit and he was worried they in the home weren't taking care of her so he took her out of it.

She had a carer, Margaret, who moved away shortly after they got together, then his house had the worst burst pipe in history.

Hopefully that's the end of the Paul/Eileen/Lesley storyline......seriously bored of it...

feel sorry for Eileen, I think Paul will dump her now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,871 ✭✭✭Karen23

What happened to Paul's car , he drove on to the street when the got the news that Leslie has an accident but walked away from Eileens with his bag tonight.

Do the residents have to park somewhere else , cars seem to appear as needed and then vanish again.

Coronation Street fans will see Carla Connor and Leanne Barlow's bitter feud reignited next week.

The pair's clashes have been on the back-burner for a short while, but tension flares up again as the custody battle for Simon gathers pace in the coming days.

When Carla (Alison King) learns that Simon has told a court officer that he'd prefer to live with Leanne, she worries about the impact his harsh words will have on Peter (Chris Gascoyne).

Deciding to give Peter some space to sort things out with his son, Carla heads to the pub - where she soon finds herself in another argument with Leanne (Jane Danson).

Stella sends the pair into the back room of The Rovers to avoid a scene in front of the punters, so Carla seizes the opportunity to lay her cards on the table with Leanne - admitting that the current situation at the flat is difficult.

Carla suggests that Leanne should do what is best for Simon by moving away to London to give him some space, adding that they could re-establish contact at a later date.

The Underworld businesswoman adds that she could even give Leanne some cash to tide her over until the divorce settlement comes through. However, when a furious Leanne sees this as a bribe, has Carla made things much worse?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, May 25 at 8.30pm on ITV1

am glad they killed off the lesley character. her wide eyed facial expressions where so irritating. and im sorry but even if your memory is lost i fail to see how you would forget that throwing cheese on top of the toaster is wrong. and putting the toaster under water is totally the right way of doing things.

Don't think Carla would put up with the grabbing of her ass the way Karl does it to Sunita. I think Carla would be more likely to give him a slap :pac: and not the type of slap you dirty minded people think :D

Agreed, but she will be in need of a new child to replace Simon. Karl fits the bill and will be up for physical abuse once she gives him his pocket money and lets him play with the horsies.

    http://www.digitalspy.ie/soaps/s3/coronation-street/news/a382225/coronation-street-recasts-ryan-connor.html

Coronation Street bosses have today (May 17) released new 'street fighter'-themed pictures promoting the return of Ryan Connor and the arrival of Carla Connor's brother Rob Donovan.

As announced earlier this month, actor Marc Baylis has been cast as Rob, who turns up in Weatherfield following a stint in jail and turns to Carla for help in starting a new life.

Meanwhile, the role of Michelle's son Ryan has been recast after original actor Ben Thompson decided that he did not want to return to the cobbles.

Ryan will now be played by Sol Heras and arrives back on the street after being thrown out of university in Glasgow.

Pictured: Sol Heras as Ryan Connor.

The two bad boys have been tipped to shake up life in Weatherfield this summer, and will even square up against each other when Rob decides to "teach Ryan a thing or two about family loyalty".

Coronation Street's producer Phil Collinson commented: "Carla's brother Rob is the latest in a long line of handsome Corrie charmers and is sure to set hearts fluttering in Weatherfield from the minute he arrives. The audience can expect thrills and a few broken hearts when this handsome bad boy hits town.

"Ryan returns carrying a dark secret and Michelle is going to have the fight of her life as she battles to get her troubled son back on the straight and narrow. Sol is a brilliant young actor and I'm so excited to welcome him to the cast."

Family loyalty? They aren't even related. Rob is Ryan's uncle's wife's brother, even if Rob hadn't been in jail he'd barely have met Ryan 5 times in his life.

Carla will probably get with Ryan and Rob with Michelle :p

Is Ryan not actually Michelle's biological son or are we supposed to have forgotten that storyline ever happened? :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 87,504 ✭✭✭✭JP Liz V1

The new Ryan was Luke in Rock Rivals (Stella, Paul and Cheryl from Corrie were in it) and he is about the same age as Kym Marsh (Michelle)

Has anyone wondered why Nick didnt tell Eva about Kylie?

It just seems a bit odd that he decided to keep it from her

..also did I miss something??? Who was the looper with Maria?

I know he met her in the salon but is he staying around or is it a non story?

I'm guessing either he didn't want it to go back to David or he knew how Eva and Stella would react (act all judgemental and bitchy towards Kylie when he empathised with her)

I don't know if the character is staying but he turns out to be gay and starts fancying Sean which begs the question why is he on a date with Maria in the first place?
