Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

TV Show Recommendations *NO DISCUSSION*

    READ THIS POST FIRST!!!!

This is a TV show recommendation thread. The idea being, if you want a new TV show to watch, you can take a gander at this thread and see what others recommend. And if you want to recommend something yourself, you can either start a new post or endorse one of the shows already posted.

So this is how it will (or should) work. If you want to post about a show that hasn’t been mentioned here already, create a new post and fill in the following information:

    Title:
    Cast:
    Genre:
    Description:
    Links:
    Watch this if you like:

This should be the only information you put in a post. If there’s important information that you feel should be included, then go ahead but try and make it relevant. And don’t write about more than one show per post, so that each show can be thanked separately.

There’s no point putting in information like the current series or what channel it’s on as this information will change.

If you want to recommend a show that someone else has posted already, then all you have to do is thank that post (the little thumbs up icon in the bottom right of each post).

Important: This is NOT a discussion thread. If you want to talk about a show then start your own thread. Just keep to the show details and everything should work out fine.

If you want to discuss this thread, then there's a thread here. If you find information in a post that is wrong, either point it out in the link above, or PM the poster. Note that posts can only be edited up to 2 days after originally being posted. After that, it's up to a mod, and they have better things to do with their time (well, they should!).

It's made to really seem like it was made in the 80s, with cheesy dialogue and special effects. A very funny show :)

    Title: Millennium

Cast: Lance Henriksen, Megan Gallagher, Terry O' Quinn, Kristen Cloke and Klea Scott

    Genre: Drama, Horror, Thriller

Description: Like The X Files, but want something that's a bit darker? This might well be the show for you. It only lasted 3 series and sometimes the quality was a bit mixed, but rest assured you'll see well-written characters, a good premise and unnerving stories. Lance Henriksen plays a former FBI agent who has a gift for seeing what the killer sees. I know, I know, but give it a chance and it's not CSI!

    Title: Six Feet Under

Cast: Peter Krause, Michael C Hall, Frances Conroy, Rachel Griffiths, Lauren Ambrose

    Genre: Drama, Dark Comedy

Description: Drama based around a family run undertakers in LA. This show is everything you wouldn't expect from an 'LA' drama. Every show opens with the death of an unknown character, whose body ends up in the Fisher family's Funeral Home. There are 63 episodes over 5 series. It's an endearing portrayal of a dysfunctional family dealing with the death of their father/ husband and their own individual issues. The final episode haunted me for weeks after.
