Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A friend of mine is in serious bother. The dope let his girlfriend use his laptop, and what did she find only an album called "**** bank". This folder turned out to have dozens of photos, and most of them are photos are from girls he's friends with on facebook and instagram. And of course she had to let the good people on facebook know about it. She took it down after a while but everyone knows about it. He'll never be able to go out at home again, there was 25/30 girls in the album, almost all of them from our lc class

He's a fcuking gobshíte, and should be strung up by the balls.

HAS HE NOT HEARD OF A USB TO PUT THAT ON?!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,773 ✭✭✭SureYWouldntYa

He can be fairly slow when it comes to technology. He won't update anything on his laptop or apps on his phone in case he gets a virus from it.

To actually call it **** bank though tops everything.

And some people are trying to get it on lad bible etc, really hope it doesn't though.

The trick is to call the folder "Options" or something vague and boring like that. ;)

HAS HE NOT HEARD OF A USB TO PUT THAT ON?!

Or Google Drive, or Dropbox, or NOT CALLING A FOLDER F*CKING "**** bank".

Or just do what any self respecting person who doesn't want to use any of the above options does and hide that folder so deep in your folder hierarchy behind several passwords and beside several red herrings.

that's what someone with a bit of a brain would do

or at least put a password on it and claim it's porn videos, not pictures of people you know

That's the bit that's creepy really. Keeping pictures of friends without their permission is odd.

People uploading them, and then Facebook and Instagram making them so easily available makes it slightly less creepy, I guess.

Their first album was heavily influenced by British music. Have a proper listen to the second album, Sam's Town, and you'll hear just how American they can be. :)

So is anybody here familiar with Belfast?
Gonna be up there for the next month or so for work but I've never been.
Anybody know the good spots to go in the nights, the touristy things to do in the day and the places to spend all my money.

It's when sitting in a pub called the Empire where you realise innocuous questions like "where are you from , are you Irish?" can give you the startings of the flight or fight response here in Belfast.

One forcefully confident "yes " later
And the guy asking you Breaks into his best McGregor impersonation
"We're not here to take part, we're here to take over!"

Instant calm followed by shouts for more beer.
    Weheyy!

If I ever got admin powers, or got a job in Boards HQ, my first order of business would be to reinstate them all tbh. Just for the lols.

My theory is Hugsie is actually a conglomerate of people, all using the same account.

Walked into a craft beer place in Belfast.
    Asked for ale reccomendation.
"Oh there's this but it's 7 pounds , is that okay?"
I thought we'll that's a bit steep but funk it, in the name of science I need to try it. Just for the hell of it. I'll never be here again.

I just spent E9.66 on a pint of ale and I'm underwhelmed.

It just tastes like ale. Regular old ale. Craft beer is insane.
Fair enough overheads are a bigger concern in a smaller production lines but my God it'd want to be brewed using the tears of unicorns to justify that.
I'll stick to my smithwicks methinks.
