Ubuntu install - how to I remove all data while keeping the os intact?

    I'm talking about a secure erase as opposed to a format because I'm using an ssd.

    Is everything saved in the home folder? There is important information that is there including cookies that need to be removed....

    Is it possible or are other system files modified by such things as firefox browsing?
