It'll be just like some kind of post apocalyptic world where all humans become Catholic Priests.

[Ron Perlman] Mass. Mass never changes.
The Romans waged mass to gather slaves and wealth. Spain built an empire from its lust for gold and territory. Hitler shaped a battered Germany into an economic superpower.
    But mass never changes.
In the 21st century, mass was still waged over the resources that could be acquired. Only this time, the spoils of mass were also its weapons: Petroleum and Uranium. For these resources, China would invade Alaska, the US would annex Canada, and the European Commonwealth would dissolve into quarreling, bickering nation-states, bent on controlling the last remaining resources on Earth.
In 2077, the storm of world mass had come again. In two brief hours, most of the planet was reduced to cinders. And from the ashes of nuclear devastation, a new civilization would struggle to arise.
A few were able to reach the relative safety of the large underground Vaults. Your family was part of that group that entered Vault Thirteen. Imprisoned safely behind the large Vault door, under a mountain of stone, a generation has lived without knowledge of the outside world.
Life in the Vault is about to change.
    [/Ron Perlman]

Best thing I ever did was marry my other half. Why would anyone want to deny others that little ray of happiness and solidarity. Ya don't gotta be a genius to realise it don't matter a fcuk to you what other people do in the pursuit of happiness.

    This is fun

    http://www.broadsheet.ie/2014/08/28/all-rise-for-judge-posner/

Listen to the judge, its fun! :)
On Tuesday, Judge Posner heard arguments against marriage equality Lawyers for Wisconsin and Indiana attempted to defend their state’s marriage bans. In a series of retorts, the judge slapped down arguments for continuing the ban.

Judge Posner harshly questioned Indiana Solicitor General Thomas M. Fisher and in many instances the solicitor was left with no answer.

He asked Fisher if gay marriage isn’t “better for the psychological health or the welfare” of gay people’s kids? Fisher gave a noncommittal answer.

He asked “Why do you prefer heterosexual adoption to homosexual adoption?”, Fisher again struggled to respond.

He then asks why Indiana wants to “punish children” because “their parents happen to be homosexual.”

Adding: “Isn’t it much better for kids to be adopted? But if you allow same-sex marriage, you’re going to have more adopters, right? … You should be wanting to enlist people as adopters.”

Posner then asked Wisconsin Assistant Attorney General Timothy Samuelson why Wisconsin doesn’t permit joint adoption by same-sex couples.

Samuelson stated that Wisconsin’s tradition of allowing only opposite-sex marriage is a rational basis for barring same-sex couples from the institution.

Posner asked Samuelson to identify a single rational basis for his state’s anti-gay marriage law.

When Samuelson claimed that “society” is helped by gay marriage bans, Posner replied

“How is it being helped? You’re not trying to force homosexuals into heterosexual marriage. So what is the harm of allowing these people to marry? Does it hurt heterosexual marriage? Does it hurt children?”

I saw this in the Irish Times. http://www.irishtimes.com/news/social-affairs/religion-and-beliefs/catholic-paper-refuses-ad-for-mcaleese-event-1.1911060.

Reading it makes me think the editor of the Aussie paper actually doesn't know for certain what Mary thoughts on homosexuals and the ordination of women to the priesthood are, but is prepared to refuse an ad because of her thoughts on homosexuals.

Catholic Weekly editor Peter Rosengren said it would not accept an advert for the event because of Ms McAleese’s views. “She is reported as being in favour of ordination of women as Catholic priests and in favour of homosexuality - whatever that actually means,” Mr Rosengren told the Sydney-based Irish Echo newspaper. “No matter how admirable a person she is it places me in some difficulty as editor of the Catholic Weekly.”.

Mr Rosengren also made some quotes about gender and homosexuality etc. He said that neither he nor the Church “see homosexuality as a sin”. “The problem is that the Church believes God made man and woman equally in the image and likeness of God’s very self - therefore gender actually has meaning. “Homosexuality and other identifications that people may use to describe themselves such as bisexual, transgendered and so on … may obscure for people the meaning of their lives, but the dividing line for the Church is that homosexual acts definitely do,” said Mr Rosengren. “Having previously employed an openly same-sex attracted columnist on an official Catholic newspaper I feel quite entitled to make these observations,” he added.

I'm not confused about my sexuality or it's meanings but I think he's confused as hell about homosexuals and doesn't know his arse from his elbow.

I'd imagine it means she's for women priests and not treating gay people as fabulous boogeypeople out to ruin marriage for the straights.

    looooooooooooooool

I wonder if said columnist was of the "I'm unfortunately gay but have never acted upon such impure desires and neither should the rest of you" persuasion at all?

I personally have failed to discriminate against Mormons all morning - do I get a cookie and the right to have an opinion on Mormon discrimination too?

I worked with some people who aren't exactly like me once. Therefore I know everything about everyone who isn't exactly like me.

“Having previously employed a black columnist on an official Catholic newspaper I feel quite entitled to make these observations,” he added.

    Now, think for a moment,
If this was about race instead of sexuality and if it was a black person who would ever say such a thing?
    :confused::confused:
