    Bray vs Jericho(maybe they'll wait til SS or do more then one match)

    AJ vs Paige

    On matches like these everyone is framing this as a setup show for Summerslam a) as it is "just" on the Network and b) Summerslam seems like something they are really building up to. Like a 2 hour In Your House back in the day. You may get Miz vs Jericho at Battleground with Bray inferring to set up Bray vs Jericho at Summerslam for example.

    yep, it's all about Summerslam, as the 6 month Network subscriptions run out a week after SS.

    A Battle Royal is such a crap way to win a title. Why couldn't they have down a quick tournament? It's not like they are short on TV time and would have made the title look important.

    At this stage, I'll be surprised if AJ defends on this one. The Paige stuff seems like they are trying to hold off until Summerslam. Cameron vs Naomi seems far more likely and that is a MASSIVE drop in quality.

    They had one only a couple of months ago for the number one contendership. Would be a bit soon for that again. I know they had Ambrose drop his US Title in a battle royal a while back too but that fit the storyline punishment angle.

    Have to drag it out in fairness. It kinda makes sense anyway. Paige was a little bitchy last week but otherwise has been a babyface the entire time. Suddenly turning her heel so early in her career would have hurt her. Let them build it up as Paige growing jealous of AJ and eventually turning heel. If they play it right, this feud could run for months.

    For example:
    No match at Battleground :(
    AJ retains in a friendly match at Summerslam.
    Paige becomes a little annoyed and earns another shot at the September PPV.
    AJ retains again, but this time in a not so friendly match.
    Some other NXT girls debut and get a decent build.
    Paige snaps and turns fully heel in the build up to October.
    October PPV goes to a draw, double DQ or something.
    Survivor Series sees Paige win the title in a proper grudge match.
    Paige ducks AJ's rematch challenge and refuses to defend against her.
    Paige beats whoever in December. AJ gets involved afterwards.
    AJ gets her rematch at the Rumble (and wins :P)
    AJ and Paige move on to other feuds for a little bit, but can do battle again at Wrestlemania if none of the NXT girls are ready for it.

    Problem is they would have to plan it out more than a week in advance.

    Or maybe they are bringing in Divas tag titles? :pac:
