Harsh. Sounds like you've been hypnotized by your dog to spread your hatred and venom across the land. Everytime you look into his eyes, BAM, hatred engulfs you.

Here's a hint for free. Put dark sunglasses on the mutt and feel the love return to your black heart.

Here is what I always wondered. What is stopping people constantly running up to you with them on and shouting "Google pictures of dicks" etc.

You could be in the stand at Oriel park, wearing your Google Glasses, and getting updates from all the other LoI games going on around the country.

"Dundalk FC have been relegated" will flash on the display as a tear rolls down your face. It could also have an inbuilt app where Roddy Collins offers his opinions on games in real time.

    Embrace the future, Pighead.

Sounds like one of Dante's visions of hell. Roddy Collins must never ever get that close to Pighead's face.

Deeply upset and saddened by the poll which shows that one in four think that these ghastly glasses are cool. Shocked with some of the names associating themselves with this product. Particularly upset with sarky, biko and Gran Hermano. Old enough to know better in fairness.

Not a chance. Have way too much respect for myself.
It's innovation and I like it. It doesn't matter to me if they're 'cool' or not to wear, it's the start of a possibility of something more.

IBM tried to market head mounted computers a few years back. If I remember correctly there was talk of selling them to one of the car companies for workers who need to access diagrams and the likes while keeping their hands free. I'm not sure if it ever went through. Pretty sure IBM weren't the first either.

I won't dimiss them but the thought of living every single life experience through a computer screen is depressing.

It's comparable to people who take several pictures of absolutely everything they do. You really have to wonder if they're enjoying their experience or just semi-engaged and taking pictures.

At the risk of sounding ridiculous am I the only one who doesn't have a breeze how these things actually work?

    Voice control?

    Blink once for mails?

    Blink twice for porn?

I'm with the OP here, step to far and one could only imagine the amount of advertising BS in your eyes. Way to easy to lose and get stolen too.

So you be poking the glasses as you walk? Sure people can't even text and walk without walking out in front of cars and getting knock down.

Pighead's kept his silence for years and held his court during some of the worst fashion disasters of our time but this google glasses nonsense has proven to be the straw that broke the camel's back. It's time to speak out.

Pighead held his council during the fiasco's that were ugg boots, baggy jeans, the word meh and manbags but this google glasses crap is really taking the biscuit.

Surely this won't take off. It can't. Will lose all faith in the youth of today if google glasses become this years livestrong wristbands. Have no problem with either google or indeed glasses but putting the two together is ridiculous.

Google claim that these glasses will dramatically impact social behaviour in the future and they're right to a point. They'll cause howls of laughter and derision on the streets as the normal well adjusted people laugh at the misguided dweebs.

These glasses are the biggest threat to making human heads look ridiculous since the moustache. And before anybody calls Pighead old fashioned they'd do well to remember he's a fan of hip hop, hoodies and gritty American TV series such as 24 and Breaking Bad.

Knowing After Hours is populated with dweebs Pighead is slightly hesitant in putting up a poll but in the interests of scientific research will throw one up regardless.

Pighead has no idea why this chick looks so pleased with herself. Frankly, she looks ridiculous.

    Meh.

Apparently this is the future, it will be open source and available for about a tenth of what the google speccies cost, so f#ck right off google.

    http://www.theregister.co.uk/2013/03/02/steve_mann_on_google_glass/
"I have mixed feelings about the latest developments," Mann writes in the March issue of IEEE Spectrum. "On one hand, it's immensely satisfying to see that the wider world now values wearable computer technology. On the other hand, I worry that Google and certain other companies are neglecting some important lessons."

Mann first began experimenting with wearable tech in the late 1970s, and has continued his pursuits as a professor with the University of Toronto's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

    ...
Mann says the design of Google Glass, in which the display is positioned over only one eye, can cause problems, too. Because the human eye cannot focus on something that's so close, Glass and similar designs use fixed-focus lenses to make the display seem further away than it is. But that forces each eye to focus on a different plane, which Mann says can cause severe eyestrain.

Hipsters Schmipsters. Have to disagree. Some girls can pull off the lensless glasses look with great aplomb. The look of a fox. A look that is impossible to achieve with the google goggles.
The pics you've seen are not the finished look.

It's gonna have some pretty cool features, it'll translate/speak whatever you say into whatever language and it's gonna launch with an app that as long as you're looking at him, will be able to tell you what you're Dog is trying to tell ya when he barks. Probably a load of other secret killer apps. I think I read something bout looking at someone doing sign language and it writing up in the display what it means.

But, how well does linking something up to your phone through Bluetooth work as apparently thats the only way these will be able to get a data connection. Maybe with 4G...

The Porn Industry is looking forward to them.

I used Google Glass: the future, but with monthly updates

Cops will probably scoop up loads of them, China, the US, whenever theirs Riots/Unrest they do try to film everyone to catch them later/build Records, you see them running round with Camcorders.

Squeaky was only joking about the Dog App.

Nice sell Squeaky but Pighead ain't biting. Unless they develop an app which can travel through time and make instant sandwiches this poster's not buying.
