Thanks for the quick reply, however the code doesn't work, is there anything I might be doing wrong?

    I pressed buttons 6 & 1 and 81 10 00 was the 6 digit code that was displayed...

Is there anything else I could try?

Press one until you get 5, two a number of times to get the zero, etc etc then press 5 to enter

    Hey guys :)

I have a 96 Fiesta (approaching vintage car status) with a serial of M000706.

It says pin 7152, but there's no "7" on the stereo.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,891 ✭✭✭kirving

You have to press the number 1 seven times, then 2 twice, etc. And then press 5 to accept as far as I remember. I did put it in wrong initially myself too.

Thanks! I actually just saw that on another site, but when I tried 7152 - then hit 5, it just flashed "CODE" again... weird...

    Can the number change?

I hate to keep trying as I don't want it to lock up forever... etc.

EDIT: Tried it again, after finding a calculator which also generated 7152, based on the serial M000706, and it said "WAIT 30".

    Sigh.

So I put in "7152" then press the number 5, and that should be it?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,891 ✭✭✭kirving

Yeah, you only get 10 chances. I just looked up your code and it seems to be correct. After you press 5 do you have to turn it off and then back on?

Sorry I just edited my last post to say:

So after hitting 5 it immediately said , "WAIT 30".

I was able to enter the code but it doesnt work and the radio did a 30 minute countdown before i can try again, im wondering if the serial number i have might be incorrect, is there a way to check this?

  • Site Banned Posts: 4,415 ✭✭✭MilanPan!c

Pulled the radio out (clothes hanger) and it had a different serial than the one in the boot.

Got a new code, which I'm sure will work, but now am suffering through the remainder of the wait 30 in anticipation.

    Thanks for the help!

Well the code I gave you is correct for that serial, only way to check is to pull out the radio and read the sticker on it. The lines should be flashing and then put in the code, you must have the wrong serial otherwise!

So... it turns out I had the wrong serial number! And at closer inspection it seems a previous owner wrote the unlock code on the back of the radio so I now have the code, thanks for your help along the way

Remove the radio and get the serial no off the side.

My girlfriends car has been to the shop, and the battery has been disconnected. How on earth does I calculate the code?

    The part number is ys4f-18c815-ad

Appreciate any help, so we can hear music when driving ;-)

    Thanks!
