Treviso very unlucky there. Very surprised that the Ospreys didn't go for the win, basically condemning themselves to getting a result in Saracens or Biarritz.

Need this conversion for a bonus point.

    Nope its 7 Points anyway,

    EDIT: It went over. 15-10

    Fair ****s Sarries.
    That could be big.

Most of the pools are wide open!

Owen Farrell could be some star.

Now it's between Saracens and Biarritz in that pool, unless Treviso can beat one of them. Judging by today, I wouldn't put it past them.

Maybe a starting point for Biarritz season... But for HEC perspective this "crazy" foul 5s to the end (how come they couldn't secure their pick and go for a little more time?!) that gave the ball back to the Saracens and lead to their try and defensive bonus point, may hit them back in a couple of months as it looks like it's gonna be a very close group.

"The secret to success in the Heineken Cup is getting out of your pool"

I have no words for how dumb that sentence is.

    Who was the culprit ?:D

I don't think its possible but does anyone know if you can watch the other matches from the red button on sky player on your computer?

Paul Wallace. His articles are normally grand but I've seen him make a few gaffes when he is on TV.

    No.

Pretty sure you can if you have an iPad. Dunno about towers or laptops though.

The consistency with which Northampton score points is terrifying. Leaving out their games against Embra in the pools last year, they scored:

    18 vs Castres
    23 vs Cardiff
    23 vs Cardiff
    23 vs Castres
    23 vs Ulster
    23 vs Perpignan
    22 vs Leinster
    21 vs Munster

Basically, if you can get to about 25 against them, you're golden.

23 again this round... Seriously, can I bet on them scoring 20-25 points?

I wish sky would shut up in their commentary about losing bonus points. You shouldn't even bother going to the Airport if you're not going for a win. The only time accepting a losing bonus point (or a draw if you're in a situation like Ospreys today, accepting a draw in Clermont would be fine) is good is if you're in the last 2 rounds and you know it's all you need, like Leinster against Wasps in 2009. I remember last year they praised Munster for a losing BP at LI, though you could clearly see they were very unhappy about losing. It allows teams to spin losing as a good result. They talk about losing BPs as if they're the be all and end all of the tournament. I'm glad Leinster don't play like this is the case.

I've watched Leinster play for a lbp when they couldn't win a match. It can make all the difference. Only sensible really.
It only comes into play if you find yourself 10 down with a few minutes to play.

In fairness to Paul he is on rock solid ground with that statement!

I think he was trying to say always getting at least a losing bonus point was the key to getting out of your pool, but got a bit befuddled.

Which is my point exactly on the losing bonus points. The key to getting out of your pool is winning, simple as.

That's like something inane and meaningless that Paul himself would say. Of course winning games is key. However, time and time again the top teams in the pool beat each oher at home and are separated by the bonus points from those games.

Francois Louw is a really good poacher in the backrow for Bath.

Try for Montpellier, with two forward passes in it possibly.

    16-8 conversion to come.

Would like Mont to win this imo.

Nice try Montpellier, would love to see them win!!!

Montpellier, will kill bath confidence. Then we wipe the floor with Bath in next 2 matchs and get out of group miles ahead!:P

Montpellier I'd say because it would all but put Bath out with the Aviva to come, and we've Mont at home last.

Don't care what people say, Donald is a classy player.
No shame not being Dan Carter.
