    Isn't this what FF have been doing for 13 years?

    My point is that the days of Bertie Ahern's giveaway budgets and buying the votes of the unemployed with increases in benefits that far outstripped inflation, are over.

    Ireland needs fiscal conservatism now more than ever. We need to balance our books asap and not burden our children with our debt. We simply cannot balance the books without reducing further our social welfare payments and public sector pay.

    We need to make Ireland an attractive, competitive place to do business once again.

    If I wasn't denied a vote for leaving Ireland to work abroad, I would vote FG 1, 2 and no other preferences. I believe Ireland needs a strong single party government.

    In Dublin North Central 1 O'Muiri FG 2. Bruton FG 3. O'Riordain Lab

    My number one vote usually goes to Labour and I've never voted FG before but this time think they are the only credible choice for governnment.

    I was going to give Labour no.2 but thought better as I want an overall FG majority.
    Won't make any difference as the Labur guy's a shoe in.

    1,2,3,4 FG in Galway West. There's a slight chance of a 5, but I'm undecided. It won't be Labour, Green, SF, or Connolly.

    Great minds think alike, exactly how I'd be voting! :)

    Dublin Mid West 1-14 and went all the way...
    FG 1&2
    Lab 3&4

    Can't remember exactly after that but it was something like:

    - Normal Independents ... not a hope but probably decent people
    - SF
    - GP Gogarty
    - FF Curran
    - Looney Left....Workers Party, Socialist Party

    Biggest decision was how low to put GP & FF and deciding which was worse

    FG aren't credible in the slightest, their plans aren't worth the paper they're written on, they haven't got any details or figures in their plans.

    Meath West here....13 Candidates...... Went for a mixture of FG,Lab,Sinn Fein with a few Independents thrown in for good measure

    The two FF muppets were left at number 11 & 12 with the Christian Solidarity party in at number 13 :mad::mad::mad::mad:

    I also took exception to a couple of candidates that were working as a Teacher (FG)and a School Principal (Lab). I had enough of people with this as their background moving into the political arena. :mad::mad::mad:

    My magic 8 ball says...

    Labour = defiantly
    Sinn Fein = you'll regret it
    Fine Gael = Yes
    independents = maybe
    Fianna Fail = Yes
    Others = no chance

    Thank you Magic 8 Ball...You should run this country! :)

    Seems quite a few peeps are giving FF last preferences!! Folks, you don't have to go past 1 if you don't want to. Anyone who wants to see FF out should NOT GIVE THEM ANY PREFERENCE. Just vote for who you want in order of your choice and leave off anyone you really don't want (FF for many people I imagine!)

    Galway West:

    1. Catherine Connolly
    2. Derek Nolan

    Part of the reasoning is my being anti-Fidelma Healey Eames (FG) and Noel Grealish (Ind/really FF) but mostly to get Labour in government with Fine Gael.
