    Why are you dividing by number of days? What if all you posts are when the thanks was here?

    I'm confused, I tried to do it the new way and my Casio calculator wrist watch gave my the blue screen of death...WTF?

    OP, your system is a little bit flawed since there are people who have been here posting since before "Thanks" was implemented.

    If I was posting on the Mathematics board, well then I could have corrected for that but here, people wouldn't bother

    In retrospect, we could just use a figure of [Number of Thanks Received]divided by [Average posts per day] as a metric. I dont think there's any need to involve the number of days since the feature was introduced since that is the same for everyone.

    yup thats right
    its not the % of posts thanked but the amount of thanks per post

    if you post 100 posts you get thanked 130 times
