There are practice tests on Public Jobs. Wouldn't worry too much about them as they are fairly straightforward. Best of luck if you apply! Its an interesting and varied job depending on where you apply for.

I was thinking of applying but was talking to somebody who said the pay isn't great for the amount of work that's required of you 🤷‍♀️

Payscales are on Forsa website. Incremental every year. 25% extra for shift premium and extra pay for working Sundays and Bank holidays. It really depends on if you are interested in the job and are happy to work shifts. The shifts are different in each area so I can't tell you what way they will work

Done my online questionnaire yesterday tricky enough questions have to put a bit of thought into it what might seem the obvious isn't in most cases

@kinglong yeah I think some of those tests can be tricky enough & can catch you out.

What location? There must be a big turnover of staff having another competition so soon after the last one. Usually it's every 2 years I think.

Hope you don't mind me asking but what is a typical day? Also, if they are still recruiting from the 2022 panel why set up another one? Now that your in the job how do you find it? I would say the shifts are tough enough. I'm certain I'll e fine as I worked shift work previously and took to it well enough.

I'm assuming the workplace situation questions dictate the OoM. Is the interview then pass or fail or does a reranking of candidates happen? If it does are the candidates reranked overall or within their batch?

Sorry for the q's, I haven't a clue how the process works.

You will be placed on a panel if you pass the interview. I wouldn't think there are many vacancies. They held a competition only 12 months ago and are still calling from that.

Final question on this. Why, if there is an open panel that's being drawn from, would another panel be convened?

Don't know. Probably a lot of staff recruited in the last year are leaving in droves. They don't like shift work or the job doesn't suit them.
