Mayweather would have no need to come out wildly swinging and all that to knock him out.

He would have 12 rounds to do it, wear him down, test out that cardio and he would be well capable of tagging Conor at will, the skill level difference is huge.

I don't even like Floyd but this would be a handy nights work for him imo.

Conor regularly spars with high level boxers? Not according to Diaz

Conor, going by accounts of his amateur days was never anything special boxing wise, his weapon is the big left now. Everything else is smoke and mirrors to disguise it, Mayweather is clever enough to take that weapon away even at his age.

Jesus I hate having to speak well of Mayweather, feels, dirty.

Another massive hurdle for conor is that his main weapon, the "big left" will be largely negated by boxing gloves, unless he can get agreement on mma gloves or light gloves.

Floyd Mayweather is arguably one of the best boxers of all time and IMO is undoubtedly the most skillful (with the exception of maybe Willie Pep or Pernell Whitaker.)

Conor McGregor has absolutely no chance in hell under any circumstances against this guy in a boxing ring. It would be embarrassing if it happened

If it actually does happen I can't imagine it happening anytime soon. I doubt Conor is under any impression that he could actually best Mayweather in boxing, but even though losing is guaranteed it could be an astronomically massive payday for him to end his MMA career on.

It will never ever happen and people are just buying into the hype, both fighters currently have no fights lined up so are talking about a pure fantasy fight to keep there names in the news

He's just asking a question. I've seen stranger things happen. If Leicester can win the PL then anything is possible.

No, I highly doubt it. DW said that punk dude would never be allowed in the octagon with anyone who's had a few(5+,10+?) fights and completely ruled out allowing Pendred to fight an amateur(as in he's never had a MMA fight). Exact same situation for McG, he's never had a professional boxing contest so no commision in their right mind would sanction a fight against someone 49-0.

If Mayweather wants the Nevada Athletic Commission to do something, they do it. He'd have no trouble getting the fight sanctioned.

no it wont, the heavier glove would probably give him more power if anything, be different if he wasnt used to big gloves but he trains/spars with big gloves on a daily basis.

Theres no reason for them not to really, while its his pro debut technically hes a world champion in another combat sport discipline and nevada would more than likely have no problems sanctioning the fight, be different if he was a bjj specialist or wrestle fcuked his way to the title but he won it with his striking.

Dont be ridiculous, this is floyd mayweather we're talking about not iven drago, while hes incredibly gifted technically he has about as much power as a handheld torch

If Nate Diaz can rock Conor with a punch Flyod Mayweather can knock him out,
Flyod in recent fights hasn't had knock downs cause he fights to won and doesn't take chances against Conor he'd be in so much control he'd have zero issues stopping him ,Like he did say Hatton who' is way better boxer and more durable than Conor ,.

He would be murdered for 12 rounds. Granted he would get the glorious cheque, but we're talking about one of, if not the, finest boxers to grace this planet.

As much as I love McGregor, he wouldn't be able to lace Mayweathers gloves, let alone fight him.

the hatton fight was nearly ten years ago? thats clutching at straws a little bit, the reason he hasnt had knock outs in his last few fights is hes not the boxer physically that he once was and the reason he hasnt been beaten is he handpicks easy fights and more power to him for it hes beaten the game by all accounts! its still an easy fight for him unless he makes huge errors which he wouldnt

Yeah that's the worst thing about this, all parties involved seem game. Inky thing stopping this is boxing commission signing off on it.

As Stringer said, i just wish Conor would get announced for 202 and be done with this. I didn't even want the Nate rematch but I'll take it any day over a Mayweather boxing match.

I dunno about that, don't think losing to a 49-0 great of a different sport tarnishes his brand atal really! if that were the case losing to diaz wouldve done the damage and itd be long gone! also going on floyds last 8 years or so i dont think he has the power to put anyone down anymore, still an easy fight for his 50-0 record and anyone that follows either sport and says they wouldnt tune in is a liar, I dont think it will happen, but it definitely could happen.

He has the power alright, he knocked out Ortiz, and I know you can say he was not protecting himself, but the point is that if he connects clean he can still put a man down.
