Clare had a meeting after the game where everything Waterford did was discussed and how Clare were bullied the first day, Clare weren't going to be bullied the second day. In regards to Lynch, Tony Browne was the difference between Waterford winning and not, Lynch was tasked with stopping him the second day which he did, he completely dominated him but at the end of the game they swopped jerseys and shook on in. In old school that'd be the end of it but Waterford decided to whine to the press about it and led to Lynch being banned for 6 months with absolutely 0 evidence. I'm sure I speak for a lot of Clare supporters when I say we'll never forget Waterford for what they did to Clare that year.

Most people were watching the fight but for some reason Browne and Lynch caught my eye. To say Lynch wore his hurley off Browne's back would be an understatement. Browne was man of the match in the drawn game and by all accounts Loughnane taunted Lynch asking whether Tony would be getting another watch. Lynch duly saw to it that it wasn't gonna happen.
buck65 wrote: » Agreed , the process was wrong. 6 suspensions from Waterford? Not sure about that though. Clare were made an example of that year, we were to uppity for some of the traditional counties and by god were they going to put us in our place, actually Kilkenny and Kerry can win how they like and no one is too bothered. God forbid Tyrone Clare or Donegal get too fond of winning.

Jamesey and Gilly were struck off the ball, that's 2 more, Seanie was split open when struck in the head going out with the ball, Conor Clancy had 2 fingers broken when struck off the ball and I'm sure there's another somewhere that I just can't think of.

Clareman wrote: » Right, back to tomorrows games and the degenerate gambler that I am, considering I can't back against my own teams EVER I have to go with Clare. Clare to win - €20 at 11/10 Clare over 20.5 points - €20 at 5/6 First score Clare point from free - 9/2 I've no idea of a goal scorer, I can't see Clare scoring a goal to be honest but if I had to pick I think a wing forward coming through is the option so I think Cunningham is the pick, any suggestions? No Clare goal scorer is 5/2 I'm thinking of taking a punt at Man of the Match as well, Conor Cleary is 40/1 and I thought he played ok last week and if Clare are going to win we're either going to need an exhibition of half back or full forward play. Red card is 11/8, it threatened to spill over a few times last week and a new ref will try to stamp his power so I think 11/8 is a good bet on that. I haven't put anything on yet, any thoughts greatly appreciated.
