I counted three clear fouls on Conlon so that five second advantage would have kicked in after the third foul when the forward was almost one-on-one with the keeper. You can't claim that a player is fouling the ball if he's already being held by a defender - that's an aggressive foul.

I was right behind that goal and the whistle definitely sounded before the shot rang out from the grassy knoll.

Clareman wrote: » I'm picturing a player running with the ball, takes 3.99 steps and a defender tugs the jersey so they go a bit more, then another tug so they go a bit more, you could end up running the length of the pitch once you were being fouled. Another thing could be you could walk the ball into the net once you were being fouled

windy shepard henderson wrote: the injuries might not be too bad both players got knocks in club games today doubt he would have used shanagher , not sure about duggan , could start but with honan seen as an option on the 40 who knows colin will come back in for bobby , would like to see how affective john conlon would be as an inside forward against a better full back line , to be fair honan on the 40 and conlon inside is how clonlara prefer to operate totts deserves a run too , he also has nothing done wrong ,podge will return too so all is not that bad

I think you have six or 7 seven candidates for it depending on whether Davy (hopefully) plays a 6th forward or and extra back like Conor Ryan was last week. I like the idea of Conlon in the square, the only other time he played there for Clare was against Wexford in 2014 and he scored 2-4. That would give an oppertunity for Peter Duggan to then be the main ball winner on the 40. I get the feeling Davy sees the likes of Honan, Tots and Cunningham more as impact subs than starters as they can never get a proper run of games. At least there are options there anyway.
