Jack McGrath and Mike Ross both lost their brothers to suicide. It's amazing how many young Irish men (in particular) die that way. It must be hard to talk about it, I am glad to see him fighting the stigma.

Anybody watch the documentary on BBC 1 tonight about Crossmaglen's GAA club? It focused on the current team being managed by two former players who were involved in building a hugely successful team during The Troubles when the town was almost completely under siege by the British Army. The army took some of the club land over at one point to extend the barracks and used to land helicopters on the field in the middle of games and harass the players. All sorts of stuff.

Worth a watch if you've got access to the iPlayer.

Just finished the night manager. Also worth watching if you have iplayer access. (last episode was leaked, so you won't have access to that till easter Sunday). Excellent show.

In the middle of it now, it's really good so far looking forward to seeing the last 3 episode (I only started watching it last week)

That's something that I love/hate about BBC shows, they keep the seasons short show the quality is usually really good but you can quickly run out of episodes.

Luther is also great for anyone who hasn't seen it

I used to like television for brainless watching. Sitcoms or serial dramas like CSI, House and The West Wing that had loads of episodes. But I am loving this miniseries trend. 5-10 hours of television that feels like a movie quality script with more time for character development and plot moves. Now I am all about Sherlock, True Detective, and the Netflix shows.

The Night Manager makes me wish Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy had been a miniseries.

Done the couch to 5k and then the 10k one. First week or so is easy enough with a bunch of walking iirc but it gets a bit harder after that. If you go onto the 10k one after you finish 5k you'll fly through it.

I find the main thing with these plans is to not worry if you don't follow it exactly as you'll inevitably have **** days. Can be kind of disheartening otherwise.

Today I considered getting the oft-mocked Ross O'Carroll-Kelly tactics book to make jottings in on the couch.

Oh and I'm look for decent ikea furniture suggestions for the big move to China!
