Great idea. You could have Soccer Starz type figures or Americans football helmets for Madden, or team mascot amiibo, special teams amiibo cards etc. Loads of positive and interestingly interactions that could be used with sports game amiibo.

We should have had a direct already this year, yet all the stuff that should've been in a direct has been announced through twitter or whatever, so thats weird. Its not out of the realm of possibility we might not hear anything till E3, but you'd hope not.

Activision are pretty much there, are they not? COD BLOPS II and Ghost, Guitar Hero, Cabela, Spiderman, Transformers, Skylanders, 007 etc. They must be the biggest 3rd party on Wii U?

Also lads says a lot for wii u when you can play through library in two months sure why keep it to gather dust I will buy and sell as I need ninty fix...

I don't think Nintendo need EA, EA make awful games and I don't buy them.
I think that people want football (both kinds) games on Nintendo.
Shame PES died.

But no DLC for those games. No call of duty beyond ghosts. None of the marketing and support Playstation and xbox enjoy from it. Third party support on the Wii U has come across as half hearted to say the least. Like how watchdogs on Wii U is by far the worst version, etc. Nintendo had to fill in those gaps themselves with first party stuff, and spilt their resources between 3DS and the U, and the U suffered for it.

Back on EA discussion.... Nintendo absolutely need 3rd party yearly titles from ubisoft/EA.
Whether folks love or hate them they are good for any Nintendo platform they come out on.
Nintendo 1st party will continue as normal but have much larger install base.

Makes me wonder now that PS4X1 are out 2 years already maybe this takes pressure off nintendo to match them in overall sales figures. X1/PS4 will likely have a long lifetime, another 5-6 years at least meaning if Nintendo can match or come close to them in Yearly sales they would be doing very well indeed. This coupled with if NX matches or surpasses other two in specs and extra creative thing Nintendo will bring, along with possibility of it being crossplatform and /or platform vs hardware they could be onto a winner.

What Nintendo need to sort out bar 3rd party for me, is Europe, Nintendo are non-existent here this gen, whereas they doing well in Japan. Love to see Nintendo get back into even bar, and maybe they will do so once likes gamespot go under down the line, they can only last so long charging 70e for games that can be got 49e on amazon or 60e preowned.

Nintendo with a proper Virtual console, including NesSNESN64GanecubeWii (already getting there) and Wii U and NX all on their store, maybe nintendo could be the STREAM equivalent of Consoles.

Loved this series so much. The only thing it was lacking was the FIFA license. ISSD probably being my favourite and the classic Konami cheat code for the special teams. Konami aren't what they used to be now.
