Also says Jones may be on the bench. So after looking at those teams and from what I have heard I have come to the conclusion that

Thornely saying Fitz will be in the centre - didn't see that coming. He is certainly in the mix for making the cut, and like others, I would be shocked if Earls isn't included as well.

He was certainly talked up by Kiss this week - I would be expecting him to play some part on Saturday, regardless of what Thornley says.

It's not impossible. Dave K is in the mix too. Lots of quality for limited spaces. I don't think Trimble is a definite by any means.

If thornley is right about saturdays team with earls (14) and DK (11) thats bad news for trimble and possibly felix jones.

Well, assuming Bowe and Rob K are certainties, that leaves four spots to fill for outside backs.

If Earls and Fitz can show they can cover wing and centre, that puts them top of the pile.

That leaves two from Trimble/Zebo/D Kearney/Jones/McFadden.

If McFadden and Jones aren't named today, they're gone IMO. That means two from the remaining three. If Zebo is the back-up FB, then he goes and it's a straight shoot-out between Kearney and Trimble. I'd say that's 50-50.

Didn't Fitz say he'd been dropping weight because he thought Joe saw him more as a wing option? Seems odd they'd throw him in at centre now?

If all they're worried about with Trimble now is match fitness maybe letting him go play for Ulster is a good idea. Assume for a minute he's on Joe's list of definite players to travel and he's still struggling to choose the last few with Fitz, Earls, Kearney, Zebo etc still in the mix it makes sense to send Trimble off to get as close to 80 minutes of rugby as he can while still allowing the previously mentioned players to get 40/50 minutes each to sell themselves one last time.

This seems pretty spot on. arguably d.kearney could push zebo as a FB but since we haven't seen joe do this yet it's probably not the case.

Sorry I'm wrong he did day he would play! But he didn't specify whether it was ulster or ireland!
