got the following quotes for base price on Mon 23 Jan

4.10e/kg aibp bandon
4.15e/kg aibp cahir

quotes including bord bia
am holding tough as hoping for 4.25e/kg

Ring a few agents for different factory's. Would expect that he is worth at least 3/kg if he has a bit of flesh on him he should kill about 55%

Ya not sure what breeds though, might be only lim and aa, think it's on ped lim cows too. They have a poster up in the payment office.

He'd want to be at least 2= for fat cover.

3.20 for a stock bull in Roscrea a few weeks ago just over 600kgs dead asked before if cut for low fat scores and said no and sure enough no cut both dawn and aibp local and no budge over 2.80 even when I was offerung a half load of well fleshed heifers as well to sweeeten deal do go
My reckoning it was worth E240 to go to roscrew with him

Saw this yesterday thaught it strange. Last of the shed cattle are gone. Young cattle have being keeping the kill up. I think cattle will be slow to come off grass if prices continue to rise. Think we will see a good base price for rest of year 4.2 and above as lonf as farmers refure to be panic'ed

They can't get enough cattle at the moment so can't see much of a drop
