I ordered a sweet and sour chicken/rice combo at the local chinese 30mins ago.
I specifically asked them not to put onion in it as they have a habit of doing that.
Got home and what did I find? Chopped up onion in the sauce.
Fcuking. hell.

Cant speak for driving drunk, but my God battling tiredness at the wheel is soo hard. Only 3 hours kip last night, followed by a day of annoying youngins and then a 2 hour drive! I resorted to turning on the air con to
keep me alert!!

Most days I have the radio at full tilt and the window open just to battle fatigue. Permanent chill in my shoulder as a result.

A guy I used to work with told me that the blowers or air con on full whack in the feet setting is great to keep you awake. Anyone heard of this or is it a myth? I'd advise just to stop for a snooze. Fell asleep at the wheel once myself for a second after a 19 hour shift and ended up on the other side of the road. Frightened the bejaysus out of me. Luckily it was 6am on a Saturday so feck all traffic.

I've heard sleep helps when you're finding it hard to stay awake. Don't know how true it is but it's worth a try!

Well car is booked in with a mechanic tomorrow. Having a hard time starting in the mornings so getting the glow plugs changed out, and gonna get him to drain the power steering fluid and top up with the right stuff (my fingers are crossed hard for that to work out! The thoughts of a new steering rack or pump makes me feel nauseous..

Driving to work up the River Road between Finglas and Blanch, just after Ashtown crossroads. Obviously the winds knocked a few rocks off the sides, because I had to swerve to avoid an oncoming car (narrow enough road) and I hit a fairly boulder-like rock. Tyre died instantly, doesn't look too bad there because it's jacked up (terrible jack though).

Managed to crawl up the road to Ashtown Equestrian Centre, I was lucky the guy there was so nice. Drove me up to a garage with the wheel, new tyre on, and drove me back. Lovely man.

Anybody have any ideas what to do about the lack of a spare? I have some spray that probably is reasonably effective for slow/small punctures, but I didn't even attempt it for that, pointless. I know a few here have/have had 8th gen Civics here.

I looked over my cars tyres this morning to see what the story. I pumped them all to 31 psi some were a small bit soft. Condition wise there all in good condition no bulges or slits or anything like that. I had on buying to turanzas for the back over Christmas as I thought they were low thread wise but got a bit of a suprise. They are all wearing evenly so that's not an issue. I have one on them thread depth measuring devices hears the results

Passenger front Bridgestone 5 mm
Drivers front Bridgestone 5mm

Rear passenger continental 3mm
Rear driver lassa 7mm

So a few questions. How decent are lassa tyres are they Chinese. What should I do with the back I was going to buy two turanzas same as front but seems wasteful if the lassa is ok never realised there was so much thread on it. How low should I let the continental go before changing it 2mm ?

I'd buy two new fronts and put your current fronts on the back, that'd be what most garages would do.

Or if cash is tight i'd get two matching part worns for the rear for the time being.

I wouldn't be gone on that set-up on the rear at the moment, particularly if you aren't using the load space and the van is very light at the back.
