The Pizza Mill in Greystones (now closed) was to this day the best pizza I ever had. My sister used to work there, so I know the recipe for the sauce and the dough, so it´s not bad!

Another vote for Pizza D'or in Monaghan. Beautiful crispy base, a brush of garlic and hot sauce makes for the best pizza ever.

Any friends of mine from Dublin love it and my sister's fiance from Scotland misses it when ge goes home. We also have french friends who visit us each summer and they are tighter than a cavan man but they insist on having Pizza D'or when they are here.

If you are in Monaghan for anything you need to get a pizza here, chips in the Monte Carlo or go for an Indian in Eastern Balti house.

I love my food and have eaten in lots of great places but those 3 are hard to beat.

I agree with the last poster who said the topic is far too broad for anyone to make a meaningful judgement. You'd have to have narrower areas where people have had a chance to try them all.

Before that, there used to be a small place in a Dun Laoghaire called Don Mimi.....best iv ever had!

Brezzies wood fired in portmarnock is lovely- diavola with smoked chicken! Yom

Also Pat's in letterkenny, they do one called Ireland's own with bacon, potato, herbs and cheddar cheese. Sounds odd but it's really tasty!

Bistro Bianconi that used to be in Ranelagh was gorgeous.

Usually get Firehouse now myself, not amazing but fine.

The best pizza I ever had was a place on Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn. Slices as big as your head for something like $5.

Wrong, it's very NY style....soft base, grated mozz. Any proper Italian pizzeria will have a crispy base and fresh mozz.
