It's ridiculous, I wouldn't even count the 530 a performance car and insurers have a fit when you ring for quotes etc!
Only last week we got a new policy, rang a few on a Saturday and they said they couldn't possibly quote such a car unless the underwriters were there to sign off on it.

I wanted to, but struggled to get quotes anywhere near that reduced price. So I had little choice in the matter! It sucks! I reckon it'll only get hard, as this car gets older....:o

I just got my renewal have to check it against last years, get some alternative quotes and then ring up and haggle

FBD from what I can see are giving the best price (for me and a 2.2 car anyway).
Can't remember the exact amount but it's something like 30e per month cheaper than what AXA were offering.

Yeah but there's only a few years until your blocking my way doing 15mph with no lights on (or everything on including fog lights because it was foggy last March) at 9pm trying to count everyone else's cattle over the ditch

Speaking of car insurance quotes I got a few a few weeks as I was thinking of buying a car (although now I'm not I'm keeping the golf). I don't know what liberty are like but they were giving me quotes at about half the price I was thinking in my own head. I'm only 20 and I though the car insurance was very reasonable well on a golf car around 2008 I'm not sure if there in a particularly low risk group.

I've always found liberty mad dear. About 400 euro more than chill on the last renewal. Just realised that in 18 months I'll be 30 with 5 years NCB.

Anyone know what the story is with changing car mid insurance policy? Engine size will be the same or less. Do they generally charge big admin fees?

I couldn't believe how cheap they were around 950 on a golf fully comp with break down assist covering me to drive any car and all that. Everyone else is probably thinking that's expensive but for my age I though it was very cheap.
