I've gone ahead and picked a quick team to get this started:

O'Brien - 4.5

27.5 mil spent

Fabregas - 9 mil
Walcott - 9 mil
Sanchez - 10.5 mil
Odemwingie - 6.5
Shelvey -5.5

40.5 mil spent

Dzeko - 8.5
Bony - 8.5
Jelavic - 6.0

23 mil spent. That's a decent stab for a first team IMO. Players are underpriced compared to other seasons IMO.

Latest News…Mark Hughes will be expected to parade a number of new additions when Stoke entertain Villa on the opening weekend. Mame Biram Diouf looks likely to lead the line ahead of Peter Crouch, having featured prominently in pre-season. Behind the Senegalese striker, Bojan Krkic could also be set for his Premier League bow, with Marko Arnautovic, Peter Odemwingie and Stephen Ireland battling it out for the remaining two places. The central midfield berths look likely to be handed to Glenn Whelan and Steven Nzonzi, though new signing Steve Sidwell will also be a consideration to make his debut. In defence, Hughes faces a dilemma over Ryan Shawcross’ central defensive partner - Marc Wilson is the favourite, having featured strongly alongside the Stoke captain in pre-season. Robert Huth, Marc Muniesa and Geoff Cameron remain alternative options, though the latter may be forced to wait a little longer to start after his late return from the World Cup with the USA. Right lads, this is the team with £1m left in reserve. I am not exactly pleased with it. Bojan needs to go as he is not a consistent goalscorer by any means, but I can right work out for who. I'm also a bit unsure on the defense and my second keeper. Any thoughts? Thanks

It seems like a lot of people have pretty similar teams with a few differences - Hazard + Ramsey instead of Sanchez + Fabregas, Fletcher instead of Bojan etc. There is so little between these choices and this is where luck comes into it! Don't know about Sanchez I would rather go for Ramsey or Cazorla and upgrade Vaz te to either Bojan or Zarate ( if you want to go for a WHU striker )

Have you 0.5 in the bank to do that transfer?
If not, it'll cost you 4 points and I would switch Rodwell to a 4.5m midfielder and keep the 0.5 for that transfer.

Some may say planning a transfer after GW1 is crazy, planning one that cost you 4 points would be madness.

I was in the middle of explaining my team when I realised I didn't like it and had to go back and fix it :pac: Anyway here is the current draft, however long this one lasts. Mainly playing with goalkeepers and defenders and my 8.0 mid:

GK: De Gea and Hamer. It'll be Hamertime if I'm relying on my backup.

Def: I'm still not convinced about my defenders at all. I think I'll stay away from Chelsea until a clearer pattern emerges. I fancy QPR to be tight enough at the back and Caulker gets goals. Clyne may be a bit of a splurge but I fancy them to do well from week 2 on. Bardlsey for Stoke's fixtures and the Tyne-Wear pair for security of starts and decent rotation.

Mid: Ramsey, Mata and Fabregas are what they are and I'm very content right now. Coutinho could be any other 8.0 mid namely Eriksen or Lamela or I rip it up and put in Arnie and Siggy. Marney 5th mid to grab me 2 points and no temptation.

For: Rooney and Costa explain themselves. I've backed away from Studge for now. Listening to my initial reaction of Austin being my 3rd forward. He's been in good form in pre-season and leading QPR's line with decent fixtures.

I have the spine of my team so there's no panic but of those I haven't decided on I really haven't decided on. As I type the Arnie/Siggy combo makes more sense over the 8.0 mid.

Yip, had the same memo from the gods myself. Had to rejig things earlier for a Bojan -> Jovetic move.
Young will play but he's playing at LWB, I still think he'll get you a few points.
Luis not a certainty so if I was spending that much on a defender I'd have to be sure(er) he's going to start.

Id definitely have Young in there considering Shaws absence and Young's performance in pre season, with the money from Mata you could pick up another very taster midfielder

Young will start. Should have got player of the tournament in the US this summer (but it went to Rooney).

Mata costs more, but I think will get more points.

He's a sure 50/50 starter and I'd avoid and look to their defenders (Terry & Cahill) for safe Chelsea picks.
