I've gone ahead and picked a quick team to get this started:

Krul - 4.5
Mannone - 4.5

9 mil spent

Debuchy - 5.5
Baines - 7.0
Shaw - 6.0
Dunne - 4.5
O'Brien - 4.5

27.5 mil spent

Fabregas - 9 mil
Walcott - 9 mil
Sanchez - 10.5 mil
Odemwingie - 6.5
Shelvey -5.5

40.5 mil spent

Dzeko - 8.5
Bony - 8.5
Jelavic - 6.0

23 mil spent. That's a decent stab for a first team IMO. Players are underpriced compared to other seasons IMO.

Your midfield is very similar to mine - identical in fact. Bit risky with two chelsea players but could pay off big time considering their relatively easy start.

Bruce isn't a guaranteed starter in defence. Maybe consider Liam Moore instead? Also, try get a third utd player in there. They are bound to score bucket loads of goals considering their easy enough start also.

Can't figure out how to embed the pic.

I'm abit unsure about Ramsay and Schurrle. He is unlikely to start the season but I think he will feature heavily this season. Possibly replace him with Barkley for 1st game.
Chambers is a short term option. Dont know about the other defenders- more research is needed in that department.
I'm sure I will drastically change it before next weekend.

Any thoughts?

Any thoughts? I may swap Shaw for Davies/ Coloccini in Week 1 if it looks like Shaw will be rested.

What formation you playing? Alot spent on 5 good defenders. Perhaps upgrade the strike force

2 keepers from Man City? Caballero costing 5.5... If you're unsure about what keeper City will play then stay away.... But I can't see Hart not playing.

Generally if you're going for an ektpfabcdefg.... If you're going for a good keeper with a top team then you can save money on a sub keeper that doesn't play.

What formation are you playing?
From that team it looks like a 4-5-1.
If so, there's money to be saved buying cheaper subs, use that money to upgrade the like of Herrera to Mata.

My thoughts: Having Hart and Caballero is a waste of money, 11.5 is far too much to spend on goalkeepers. Either go for one Top keeper and a 4 m sub or 2 mid price keepers who rotate well.

You have far, far too much invested in defence. A good defense is always useful, but the major points come further up the field. I'd downgrade at least 3 of them to cheaper options.

Your front line is very weak, Bojan and Long are both budget options, while Soldado was very poor last year.

Downgrade majorily in defense/ goalkeeper and invest in your midfield and strikers.

I think Mata and one of Hazard/Fabregas is an absolute must. No need for Shaw if you have De Gea.

is there a reason as to why Drogba is only 6.5 million. Is he not as good as he was? just putting my team together today and saw his price.Torres is 7.5 and costa is 10.5 so i presume he is 3rd choice striker

Ok made some changes based on feedback above. Mata and Fabregas are good shouts.

Downgraded from Sturridge to Costa and am a bit worried about that. Also Lamela is a gamble but I have a feeling he will have a good year.

Hutton and Wisdom if both start are good rotating 4.0m defenders, 38/38 h/a. I'd put the Home-playing defender first though on your bench, in this case Wisdom.

They certainly do offer perfect rotation but even so I reckon they'll be lucky to get 10 clean sheets between them and Hutton is a prime candidate for numerous minus point outings due to being a card magnet.

Wisdom will likely lose his place once their defenders recover from injuries and gain fitness.
