Those who have had a more colourful past are not any the worse for it. I don't know where you get the impression that 100+ lovers is normal for Irish women but its not, maybe you need to take your blinkers off.

ragnarl wrote: » Good post here. Unfortunately society has changed markedly and women are now encouraged to have multiple sexual partners and feel great about it. This is a far cry from when our grandparents were in their 20s and got together and went from strength to strength. Women didn't slut around and get encouraged to have sex with hundreds of men back then. Fortunately there are some women who don't behave like this, although it's becoming rarer and rarer. Society as a whole has changed and generally Irish women are becoming more and more slutty and entitled. This attitude is obnoxious and im happy to say I have a beautiful foreign girlfriend who values herself more than to be slutting around and having one night stands every week. In her culture that is actually frowned upon. Shes a great girlfriend, doesn't act like a tramp and takes good care of me as I do to her. If we ever break up, I have every intention of getting another girlfriend from the same country as her if I can. To the OP I would say that you are playing a losing game by having an Irish girlfriend in this day and age. These girls generally feel like they just achieved something great if they have banged 100 guys and as a guy you are looked down on if you think that a girl being an absolute tramp is a bad thing.

shalalala wrote: » I agree with this up to a point. I am Irish, I don't sleep around and nor do most of my friends, male and female. I don't like girls being called sluts unless you were willing to call men in exactly the same circumstances the exact same. If I was dating a man that had been a part of that gang bang I would be disgusted by him and would finish it. I have an opinion of sex that in the ideal world it should be in a happy relationship. Whatever form that relationship takes. As long as it isn't damaging anyone. I would argue that a number as high as in the 100s that there would be a certain amount of psychological damage that would have occurred. Both for men and women. sometimes I feel like I am seen as naive or prudish for having such an attitude and expecting any partners to feel the same way about sex. Most of the time I don't care what others think but sometimes it bothers me. That isn't right. Sexual liberation is one thing but people should know what respecting themselves is. Have a firm idea of that for themselves and stick to it. It isn't for me to tell them what their version of respect is. If she told the OP she was clean. Fair enough. I was lied to in the past about this and I never really forgave the lie of it. I had been safe, kept my number low, asked all the right questions and because he couldn't tell the truth I caught something (treatable). So I wouldn't be inclined to blame the OP for trusting his gf on that one!
ragnarl wrote: » I liked your post and it was refreshing to read. I agree with all the points you made. People are free to do what they want and that's fair enough but for me, I would steer clear of women who've had a very high amount of partners and who think this is great behaviour and that guys who don't like this type of behaviour are wrong. We all have a choice of who we choose to associate with and have in our lives (if they want to be in our lives as well) so everyone is entitled to make that choice.
LordNorbury wrote: » Yup, and another choice people are allowed to make is to be single, and that choice thankfully today doesn't have to mean a life of sexual abstinence or celibacy, unless of course you want it to, which is equally fine if that is a decision that suits you.
ragnarl wrote: » People are entitled to do what they want. The problem arises when other people start castigating them for their decisions. If someone wants to have a high number of sexual partners that is perfectly fine. If someone doesn't want to be in a relationship with someone like that, that is also perfectly fine. Everyone is different with their own preferences, and is entitled to have these preferences.

It is an interesting question though: If you were to go into a bakery , would you like a breadroll where the dough was rolled by the hands of a baker who had worn latex gloves (for example) or would you like one which 100 different men or even one man had stuck their mickeys into ? Which muffin is better ? My only issue with the lady in question OP , would be was she 1) a hypocrite or 2) a liar. Freedom (of both of you) to choose your own paths, justice, fairness and truth should always prevail.
ragnarl wrote: » Lets use our intelligence here. Surely there is no way I can know that every Irish woman is a slut and obviously every Irish woman isn't. I was generalizing about the general societal attitudes which are seen to full effect from a lot of the women in this thread by the way vs the general societal attitudes of some foreign countries. You don't seem to be making logical sense here so I'll have to end our conversation on this subject and not reply to your further messages.

I only said 500 because that was the example put forth by the OP and we had plenty of women saying it was perfectly fine and men should have no problem with it but im talking about high numbers in general.

She knows this is ridiculous and is just trying to antagonize the poster and then ends with a judgement on the poster based on her irrational and ridiculous claim that he is "threatened" by her views. Idiotic post really.
