Is it? there's an estate near me and kids often wander past my house, so they were usually at the gate asking things, it's ideal for me but a garage would be nice

Decided that while the seats are out I may as well clean/hoover... found the guts of €10 under them though!

Rain starting (and it's 3:30am) so probably a bit late to break out the hoover :pac:

All that's left to do is bolt in the new seats & hook up the wiring harness.

Hmmmm, I'd have thought all the nissans shown in Sunderland test track were stockpiles of Qashqais awaiting launch. That would explain why they "disappeared"
They aren't afraid to wind down production in toyota or nissan if demand isn't there.

UPDATE: Currently May 16th, 2014, all of these cars at the Nissan Sunderland test track have disappeared? Now I don't believe they have all suddenly been sold. I would guess they may have been taken away and recycled to make room for the next vast production run.

The first photo of Sunderland was in the Guardian in 2009. When nissan and honda announced they were halting production.

Looks like the Irish taxation system could put a dampner on things - I think we might be 1 g per Km too high - meaning I think 1200 euro tax instead of 750.

Wouldn't be an issue on a manual but the Auto is higher sadly*.

They did do a 160 bhp (from looking on Auto trader) which has lower emissions - but that's 16,500 euros or so landed for a 2011 - based on currency conversion and Revenue VRT quote.

Mind you it is a Citroen approved use car (I think) and the top of the tree Exclusive spec in estate form for that money.

Will have a look at what 2010/11 Superbs are making in the Uk.

*cars not for me unfortunately - if it were id just land a manual of 09 for 9 k home and landed - job done

- emissions are lower on manuals

If the RX8 is missing anything, it's cruise control. I have it in my current car and had it in my last car and the 8 would benefit from it big time.

Yeah. The household diesel has it and it's a licensaver.

Would love Cruise control in this. I can't hold a steady speed otherwise it just keeps creeping up - and it's so smooth it just catches you out because you don't feel it accelerating. It's a bloody good effortless cruiser of a car.

I think cruise control is highly beneficial on automatic cars

I remember having my ccruise control set at 120kph on my Volvo and I was driving at 30kph about to join a motorway.

I just hit the resume button and it flew up to 120kph for me !

Waiting for Gvidor to come in and tell ye that ye should all drive Manuals. After driving the two 520 automatics I'd think I'd have one over a manual for my kind of driving.

People should only drive autos if they do a lot of stop start city stuff, for everything else it lazy and generally crappy.
BMW and Porsche may make great autos but for the general daily cars they're rubbish.

And flicking a button to get up motorway speeds, my car does that without cruise control... The button is pressed with my foot.

It's not getting up to speed that becomes a pain in the arse, it's keeping it there. Cruise is really handy, and I don't even have much use for it!

In what way are they crappy? They excel at stop start driving and motorway is just as good if not better imo and there's always Semi these days for some fun if needed.

Oh I love it for cruising but using gaining speed as a reason to love CC I thought was a bit odd.
