Bit of a long shot but there is nothing limiting maximum cpu usage in the power options?http://superuser.com/questions/56534...battery-saving

I know this is PC building, but I'm active on here, so I'll put this here amongst the brain trust! My girlfriends laptop craps out when streaming. YouTube, netflix, BBC, you name it! Just goes as slow as all hell and craps out. I've pinged YouTube with CMD and no issues, she has bitdefender on there, and has no issues with viruses, malware etc. I've cleared caches, temp files, updated drivers etc, but nothing! Silverlight and Java, same problem. laptop is on Win 7 Home premium and is only 3 years old. Ideas anyone?

Haven't looked around for any updates recently. The older solutions won't work unless you use XP. Let me know if you try it and have success.
