Unless you invested in some serious expensive cooling solutions. Even at stock speeds I thought is was running hot. So with all these recent recommendations for Haswell, has Intel improved it since it's initial release? Or was the initial release a bad batch of CPU's?

Getting an issue with the second gpu though, its usage is constantly at 99%? Its at stock clocks so temps are in the mid 50's so its not a major problem but have no idea whats makin it happen. Quick google suggests that it might be driver related and i plan to go back to ccc13.8 just to check. Anybody have any issues like this recently? Edit:A few updates and restarts and everything settled down. Overclocked them to 1100/1350 and set a fairly aggressive fan profile and the top card reached a max of 63C so with the same profile i reckon i can squeeze a bit more out of them.Max Vrm temp on either card was 69C. With a mix of high and half AA settings was getting around 90fps with dips to 80 or so at 2560x1440 on Battlefield 3. Hope to be able to overclock the monitor to 96Hz and maintain that fps,but i have to say it was amazing playing BF3 even at a solid 60fps at 1440. Makes me think if ill bother overclocking the monitor, could play at a solid 60fps with everything on ultra hopefully Happy so far after earlier issues were resolved,a lot of tweaking to do me thinks...

EoinHef wrote: » Cheers dwight man, just want a current reference, latest drivers and all that for something to compare to. Cards are at 1050/1400. Overclocking the cpu as we speak, reckon ive got 4.4 ghz stable. Max vcore 1.272v and max core temp 84C about half way into an hour prime test. Not sure but the prime test with the guide im using seems to be fairly strenuos If the cpu overclock raises my score any significant amount ill post up the new score

If I had more spare cash I may have plumped for a Catleap, but the newer models dont seem to be as worth the extra cash as the older models were. The old 2b model was supposed to be amazing and overclocked great but there nearly €700 from what I could see on ebay. As regrds going qnix over say a dell or a asus branded monitor the reason there was price. For the price of buying one of those branded monitors I got a qnix and a second 7950. Dont think 1 7950 is quite enough for 1440 unless your prepared to turn down a lot pf settings to say medium with no AA. And I wanted to play at 1440/100hz so no way I could do that with one 7950. Cash is king:) I was lucky enough to get a good qnix though, and that does seem to be a lottery
