Nobody really knows what the club's transfer strategy is, what the transfer budget is, the entire picture of what signings were pursued, the entire picture as to why some signings worked out and some didn't, the factors which caused a particular player to choose another club over Liverpool, or whether despite what may have been printed in the press Liverpool were ever actually really in the hunt for player X or not. I see other utterly hilarious simpleton assertions like "We have the TV money, we should be spending it, other clubs are!", or "Does anybody know when we receive the actual cheque for the new TV money?". LFC is a multi hundred pound a year business guys, run by people who understand the mechanics of running a business with that much revenue. Me? I'm the type of supporter who wants Rodgers to do as well as I wanted Kenny to do, which is as well as I wanted Rafa to do, and Houllier before him. (I couldn't stand Hodgson for whatever reason, an anomaly in my mind). I don't judge the owners on transfers alone, as even though they might say things in public to win over supporters, it's not always that simple. Liverpool couldn't sign Messi even if we had £150m to bid for him and an offer of £1m a week in wages.

I'm not happy we didn't upgrade at CB, but I'm willing to see how they get on, I'd expect an improvement from Skrtel if he is called upon, if not an upgrade signed in January. Lucas is a worry for me, they are taking a gamble he'll get back his pre injury form and he keeps fit. Put it this way, if we get Willian, I wouldn't have expected £45 Million spent on the front 3 plus keeping Suarez back in May. I'd also have expected Reina still here, no Cissokho and a new CB for the money spent there. Still, while my main concerns haven't been addressed, I can't but not be impressed by the front 3 options we have/could have. A big complaint of us posters during Kenny's time and the first half of last season was lack of attacking options on the bench.

But now you're seemingly excusing it or making out that I'm out of line for not adjusting my expectations, like you have, to excuse our underwhelming business so far this window. Got ya.
K-9 wrote: » Maybe we will all be wrong, I'll wait and see how it goes first, I don't believe my opinion on needed signings are infallible, you've had your mind made up since last Summer. Maybe Agger, Skrtel and Lucas will have a season that we all thought they were capable of. Your a big fan of all 3 I think? Rafa signings and all that.
