EDIT: On another note, do I still need a mod or someone to ok a personal nether portal? I wouldn't mind putting one in my home base so I don't have to run back and forth, but I think I remember reading that there's rules...

Sorry for the monstrosity near the spawn. My young lad got creative and can not fathom "height restriction".
On the positive side there is a nice view from the top.
It will be dismantlement within 24 hours.

hare05's villager compound seems to have been wiped out (by zombies?) except the ones in the market on the top floor, which bred. as a result there are ****loads of villagers trapped in a confined space on the top floor and the noise is insane. fortunately the villagers seem to have some pretty good trades.

Wondering how zombies got in, sad that I missed the culling.

theres crazy lag on the server, and I'm blaming Irish_iNinja. He's spamming eggs all over the place creating loads of chickens which are going around laying eggs, which mean more entities and more lag. as well as more eggs for ninja to throw.

Its been 5 days since I asked about if its ok to open my own nether portal and no response, though I fully appreciate thats cause there's not many people playing.

If it's ok, I'm going to open it tomorrow, and if someone wants it torn down afterwards, I'll do it personally

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Certain people on the server are throwing any eggs they find resulting in a huge growth of the chicken population, unfortunately with more chickens there are more eggs to throw which means that the more chickens there are the faster more chickens will come. The people on the server who are throwing the eggs refuse to head any warning I give them and the situation on the server is only getting worse. In an effort to reduce the lag myself and Rossi_IRL culled the chickens at spawn (not ones in farms) and collected any eggs we could and destroyed them. the lag is getting so bad the server is nearly unplayable.

I've tweaked a few things which should help with the lag. Feel free to cull any chickens you see around as well. If it gets any worse, I'll just disable eggs altogether.

I havn't logged on in a while so it's possible the inside of my house is a chicken farm. if anyone could go and murder them all, i'd appreciate it

I may have been partly guilty of causing a chicken / egg problem, since I had a farm that had around 20 at max, and it sometimes "leaked" a few. It's gone now, since I have enough food stored for a good while now. Though I didn't see much server lag at that time.

Unless you were using some kind of automated setup to grow the chickens (which from the sound of your post I doubt is the case) then you're not doing anything wrong, even if some chickens leak out from time to time the net chicken-age is still 20-30

The issues are being caused by known griefers deliberately griefing people's homes/surroundings with chickenspam and/or are trying to destabilize the server because they're sad, pathetic individuals.
