Something would always be drawing some power anyway, but I have a bunch of spare batteries I use for testing or running things out of a car. Two wires attached, sometimes the positive sparks with nothing (as in a powered device) on the other end. Presume its grounding off the.. ground or something, but its fairly vague as a test IMO.

I think the theory is technically true but wouldnt actually help him find the draw on a modern car with so many systems.

What a dose of a day.

Went to paint a fence and bought two buckets of ronaeal from B&Q. Both were different colours but labelled the same. First response is no refund as it was opened. Followed up by telling me its a different batch and that its normal for there to be a difference. Fortunately the manager wasnt such a dimwit.

Three decided to follow up B&Q's excellent kuntsomer service by calling me to tell me my contract was due for upgrade and they'd like to offer me a new one with half the benefits "guaranteed" until September 30th when they will review it. Errrrrr my contract isn't up until November and why would I like to give up my current contract for less all to save €5.

Lets see how my cars visit to the garage goes later. I'm expecting GREAT THINGS the way the day is going so far.

Haha had to pick up 2 buckets of Ronseal One coat Medium Oak myself today also got a nifty Ronseal brush

Paid 30 quid for a good set of jump leads aswell

It was medium oak!

One was dark and one was red. Had half the fence painted with the darker one before I opened the second.

That should do. Its just a plastic box underneath the main air box.

Indeed there is. The plastic box has managed to get pressed against a tensioner.

Belts are fine as I discovered it in time.

Its being plasti welded now as no scrappy has the part.

Just ordered rear discs and pads from mister auto, should have them next week. Had intended on just popping down to the local motor factors and doing the job today, but mister auto had a good discount on Bosch parts, so I just went with them!

Next on the DIY list of to dos is the cooling system, water pump, belts and tensioners.

60% off Bosch parts is good, I purchased new front discs, pads and wear sensors just now.

It may take a week or two though to fit them.

Two of these arrived today for the tyre hungry BMW, not the most prestige tyre but I've had them before and was happy with them.
Bloody P Zeros burn off in no time!
Got them from Openeo, cheap at €112 a tyre (255/35/19)

They're made by that Accelera crowd, not massively known but anyone who does know them only has good things to say.

They wear slowly too, I get 50% extra mileage compared to the P-Zero's

Anyone know how much an indie would charge for a brake fluid change? Mine needs doing, and just curious. I presume it shouldn't be terribly expensive? Anything I should watch out for that is specific to a BMW e46? Or should I be alright?

Needs to be done using diagnostics, as Voodoomelon did a while back on his barge :P

Yeah they're not that fantastic but she's no touring car anyway, can't pass them up for that price.

Jaysus, this is something else. A VW Scirocco front end on an Eos. Not a fan of the extreme lowering but that front end on the Eos is slick. Also missing a badge unfortunately. :P
