Want a DSLR
C.B Photography
I'm looking for a good DSLR under 400 euro, I was looking at the EOS 1000D, does anyone have any experience with this camera ??, I would preferably like a kit rather than just the body and don't mind if its second hand, but in good condition

For 400 you could probably look at something like a 550D second hand, its a very capable cameras when combined with the right lens.
I just did a quick search of adverts.ie and found this....

The asking price is 450D so 400 is a completely fair offer. Theres a few other listed up there for 500 and 550 so its certainly possible for that budget. The lens that typically comes with it (and with most entry level DSLR's) is the 18-55. Its not the best, but still capable of taking a nic shot if used right. Its also handy to learn with.
Hope thats of some help.

Have a look here, some people have got the 1100D (refurb/B) with 18-55 and 55-300 lenses for £200ish.

You could conside the Nikon D3100 available for £289 from Amazon -

It's since been replaced by a newer model, but it's still an excellent DSLR and has very good guide mode for those staring off down the DSLR route.

Can I recommend you buy an older second hand camera rather than a brand new one.
I wanted to get a new camera but the option to go secondhand presented itself to me. I got a Nikon d200 and it was a fantastic camera to learn taking photos on - you could do so much more with it than a more expensive new entry level camera.

I was considering doing that
, the Nikon D200 looks pretty nice too
