Stop buying microwave ready meals, they are possibly the worst thing for you, as are the "healthy biscuits" like go ahead etc.You are a perfect example of an advertisers dream. You only eat the stuff they tell you is good for you with no application of logic. Stop listening to the adverts, they really do not care if you are healthy only that you buy their products not something actually good for you . Eat real food. limit your spuds. the basic rule of thumb is the more healthy it says it is on the packet, the faster you should walk past it in the isle. Here is what you need to do. (go to a doctor/or dietician) Go to a butcher, buy your meat there. chicken, turkey, beef pork etc, only the meat, no sauces, not pre stuffed just the meat. go to a grocer and fill a bag with veg, 2 bags if you can. Buy bright colored veg and leafy greens. get some eggs too. For breakfast eat eggs and meat and veg. for dinner, eat meat and 3 types of veg, for tea, eat meat and 3 types of veg for a snack, eat an egg, some meat or some veg or all 3 Do that for a month and if you still feel tired ill eat my hat. (provided your DR says there is nothing else wrong with you.

Uncle bens rice doesnt seem that unhealthy?? Its boiled rice with a sugary sauce. From a fat point of view its a great alternative to pot noodles or a cheesy wrap i thought? True or not?

Your body needs fat, or you will not function correctly. You are proof of that. Not looking for a lecture on healthy eating. ive done that, it didnt make a difference.

The Fruit Slice is no better than a chocolate bar. You've done your perception of healthy eating. Its not the same. My father always says, you never ask a barber whether you need a haircut. According to Mash Direct's marketeers, its a healthy lunch. Just looked online, according to the nutritional information one serving is 100grammes and is only 38 calories. Calorie wise thats half a boiled egg. You have that as your lunch? Fat. You seem fixated on fat. You don't get fat from eating fat. In eastern europe it is common to spread pork fat on bread the way we do with butter. Its actually very tasty and great for keeping energy up during the cold winter(that reminds me, I must make some). The rice thing is not a great alternative to a pot noodle. It is a pot noodle only with rice instead of noodle. Just because Uncle Bens friendly face is on the front does not make it healthy. I used to get terrible 4pm slump. Couldn't keep my eyelids open until going home time. I figured out the high carb lunch i was having was the problem, sucking all my energy. Now I have a leafy green salad, a boiled egg, and full fat mayo, and I've not had a slump in months. In fact the last time I did it was because I went out for lunch and had the carvery roast which involved a lot of roast potatoes and mash.

syklops wrote: » You could take a vitamin supplement, but its more fun to have varied tasty food. I reckon thats because you are eating 100g of mashed potato and parsnip which despite its density is only 38 calories. Could be. Subway get some stick but there is worse you could be having. In your case though where you get sleepy after lunch, I'd suggest a salad instead. A subway sub has a lot of bread in it to process which can lead to the drowsy symptoms. A basic chicken sub is a thin piece of chicken, lettuce and then a big chunk of bread. Its like the mashed potato, its filler. You need more protein, and more healthy fats.

Crisps are overprocessed no value food regardless of what it says on the packet. You feel better temporarily because you have fed your sugar addiction. Have you really? For how long? Your knowledge of what constitutes good food seems patchy, so maybe what you considered healthy eating actually wasnt. You keep mentioning illnesses and intolerances, when a) you should see a doctor if you think something is really wrong and b) you should try the months healty eating as recommended by thegreatiam, and THEN see if you still want to try a restricted diet of some kind. You are what you eat. Right now you are eating too much packet food, and your body is suffering for it. Also, scrambled eggs or a stirfry are as quick to cook as a microwave meal. You are not lacking time, you are lacking knowledge of how to cook easy stuff fast. Get that knowledge and your diet will improve vastly.

I ate my go ahead yoghurt slices because it was either that or a bar of choc form the sandwich place. For the past 20 mins ive felt "gittery". My hands are sort of shakey like ive had a lot of caffeine but im not feeling tired - yet. I know from experience from this point on i just get more and more tired and this is just some sort of sugar high. Is this normal I ask you? I work mostly at a desk but im always running back and forth across a yard every 10- 15 mins to get my orders!

There's nothing wrong with this but I suggest you do this for your own benefit.
