Is blindsiding someone acceptable?

Watched a video there where a bully hurting other people got blindsided and knocked out.. I don't have any problem with it but a lot of people say it's cheap.

In a situation like the above, should the guy be confronted or just knocked out and have it done with?

If I'm being started on and I'm outnumbered or the other guy has a weapon then I will use whatever means necessary to protect myself, if that means fighting dirty then so be it.

In the situation in the OP it looks like yer man in grey is with the other guy in dark grey, 2 to 1, there's no need to blindside someone in that situation, it's unnecessary and it's basically just being a pussy. If you don't like what you're seeing then square up to him and tell him to **** off, if he doesn't then you can do what you need to do safe in the knowledge that you have the upper hand.

He is an egotistical bully with delusions of being a bit of a boxer who slaps a gay man and antagonises some other poor bastard who clearly just wants a peaceful night. I hate people like this. I did club doors for years and nothing wound me up more than twats like your man. If you introduce violence into a situation then you need to be prepared for the fact you may well be on the receiving end of some of it. Blind-side or no, the twat who got punched was the one who started everything and the situation was entirely of his creation. Tough sh*t for him.

Punch someone in the face (in this case a defenseless camp man) for no reason other than to impress your mates or to throw your weight around then you deserve a hiding. End of story like.

It was more where he hit your man that caused the knock out, he banged him right in the jaw. The punch itself was nothing spectacular.

Maybe, but in my experience of dealing with these the person who starts throwing slaps (of any variety) needs to be dealt with immediately or else an escalation is pretty much guaranteed. Fights are often like fires and spread very quickly.

I do agree here to be honest. I'd say the fella who through the punch was more interested in a free dig than defending the people being assaulted.

Incidentally, the aggressor here did not 'get a hiding' - he was knocked out with one punch. That punch was delivered with substantial force - it was a "haymaker" round swing with the puncher moving forward at the time to increase the transfer of momentum (and as a karate instructor I know when a punch is thrown hard). The fall to the ground could result in a fatal head injury in that instance.

I'd have had no problem if he just 'got a hiding' and had to run away.

They would have earned a whallop in that situation, hitting someone from behind might solve it but it would be cheap, if you can live with that it's fine. Once you're fine with it fcuk what I or anyone else thinks. I called it cowardly in my other posts but that's not really fair, it's just a bit cheap. Your man sticking the boot into the guy in that video is cowardly, hasn't even got the stones to confront him while he's upright only when he's floored.

Some of the bravado sh1t I've seen from lads after using cheapshots would make you think they were Floyd Mayweather.

Blindsiding is acceptable when defending yourself or another person. Walking up on someone eating a cheeseburger and then hitting them on the head because they took your seat is unacceptable.

There were a few stories involving people being pushed in front of trains. People looked on not wanting to help the person because the crazed individual was still in the area. That person totally deserves a blindsidin'.

Afro guy was being a bit free with his hands but that was a cowardly and potentially deadly act. Could end up in jail for that.
