Also happens on very cold mornings when I'm up before 9 (which is all winter!). Doesn't happen when I exercise.

I also get it if I eat a big meal, I start coughing and gagging. I know with me it was all down to acid refleux, started on tablets to help it and they really worked. And the same as you, has been much less since I started running, even though I was eating triggers.

I took a Nurofen Express maximum strength tablet last night before I went asleep. I feel like it's been lodged in my throat all night and still is. Is that possible? Would it not have dissolved by now? I've drank loads of water and can still feel it and I've even eaten some food but still no joy
