Beezkneez!

Would love to get the 16gb version. Does google play allow us folks in ireland to purchase from it? I already have the Nexus 7 and love it so trying to figure out how i can get my hands on it. I purchased to N7 in a shop however.

Mine was cancelled around 11.30pm last night, they said the usual in the email your card wasn't charged but as far as I can tell they put a hold on the money in your account. As far as aib was concerned it was a pending charge and they deducted it.

I found a link to their play support centre through my tablet (don't have it on me if you can't find it let me know tonight), told them I was charged etc. They sent one back saying if your enquiring about your account being suspended please follow the steps here to retrieve your account.

I sent another one back saying I had emails from google stating my card was not charged however my online banking clearly shows the money was taken, please refund my card or I will report it to my bank and visa. Mailed back a few minutes later saying it was escalated to someone higher up to deal with, woke up this morning and the money was back in my account.

Aw ffs!!!! Last night I was in pending, this morning it was being shipped. A TNT delivery guy just rocked up to my door a few minutes ago with the red card to say he had tried to deliver. I answered the door putting paid to that, so he went back to his truck to find my phone.

He came back about 5 minutes later saying he couldn't find it and promised to come back with it

Fingers crossed I will have a phone in my hands today. I hope he arrives by 17:00 as that will give me time to pop down to carphone warehouse to get my sim cut.

No, living just outside London these days. I guess they are being delivered from the UK then rather than Ireland if they could attempt to deliver so quickly.

Of course they are, the Dublin address you receive on payment is Google's European head quarters, everything in Europe is processed through there, devices are not shipped from there.

I decided to put in another order using my real Google Account. Could be the other one raised a flag because it was a new account trying to spend a lot of money with billing address not matching the real one. Lost my original place in the queue so now I've a 6-7 week wait. I guess patients is a virtue, etc.

Do they always take payment at night? I submitted my updated payment details this AM, and I dont' see anything taken out of the bank account (or could it be that Ulster bank's online system is only updated at midnight or something?).

Just put in an order there and got email confirmation.

5-6 weeks until it ships.

I never clicked 'By clicking "Proceed," you agree to the Devices Terms of Sale' but I got a confirmation email....

My cart is still showing as having an item in it though..?

Is this normal...seems a bit strange..

Edit: It brought me back to the beginning and there was no confirmation as such on the browser, but got the mail as I said. Status - pre-ordered.

Ok my order has changed status on the Google Play webpage from "Pre-ordered" to "Pending"

The Google Wallet webpage seems to have totally crashed so cant see status.

A lot of unhappy Googlers I think.

Mine's still pre-ordered but the payment has changed from pending and seems to have gone through.

I did something stupid though - I cancelled the order - but I think they said you've only a small window in which to do so. Now, I don't need to cancel and I never received the confirmation email to say it was cancelled when I did it 45mins ago..

...so as the payment's been taken, hopefully it's still going to go through.

I just used my actual address as the billing address and threw in the UK postcode....

They're bound to verify the card and if there inital few fields don't match..

..maybe try again..

Just discovered this thread and wanted to share how I managed to get one of these through the system.

Just created a new google account and used parcel motel's NI address, a new BOI visa debit card, and left billing address as the parcel motel one. Ordered at about 17:10 on Tuesday.

Maybe I was one of the lucky ones, but just got a shipping confirmation earlier today!

Nice one.

I did what one of the other posters did earlier and just registered my card again while on the VPN (but I'd never used it to purchase anything on the Play store before).

I remain hopeful!
