A well deserved title for the Rock who have put in great effort and commitment over the past year to win this. Also well deserved after the blackguarding the Duhallow board done to them 2 years ago but the Duhallow board paid a big price with the Rock players refusing to play for the Duhallow senior team and rightly so. Great to see Kildorrey win a county title after some agonising defeats in football county finals in recent years after they won today's County Junior hurling final replay 2-8 to 0-13 against Brian Dillons but judging by the radio Dillons threw this game away but I'm sure that won't bother Kildorrey too much! Great to see Castlehaven having a big victory today in the Munster senior football championship against Drom-Broadford scoring an impressive 1-15. There has been some very negative comments about the Haven the past week and while last Sunday's game against Duhallow was poor it was never going to be easy for the Haven against such a negative defensive team that are Duhallow. Delighted to see them answer their critics today with a fine attacking display.

Didnt know about the friction with the Duhallow board. what was it about? Basically the Duhallow junior football championship starts out with 2 rounds, every team plays 2 games. Any team that fails to win a game goes out,a team that wins 1 game will qualify for the knock out stages while a team that wins 2 games will qualify for the semi finals. In 2010 Rockchapel won their 2 games while Kanturk won 1. However at a board meeting the Duhallow board ruled because of Aidan Walsh's Involvement in the Cork football team and the difficulty in organising fixtures Kanturk were duly promoted to a semi final spot at the expense of Rockchapel! At the time Aidan Walsh's father was vice chairman of the Duhallow Board! Needless to say Kanturk and Walsh's father became very unpopular figures and as a result Kanturk have become a very unpopular team as a result however I will say that I know a number of ex Kanturk GAA players who were embarrassed and disgusted by what happened in 2010. Even though Walsh got the proportion of the blame the whole Duhallow board were to blame for this disgraceful decision. As much as people are critical of the Cork County board their angels in comparison to the Duhallow board! Aidan Walsh's father resigned soon after that shambolic carry on knowing he made a very ill advised judgement! Going back to Rockchapel's triumph there was great scenes of celebration last night in the village. They made their first stop in Newmarket on the way home bypassing Kanturk! There was a great welcome for them in Newmarket, the 2 clubs have a very friendly close relationship and it was great to see both sets of supporters celebrating a great victory. Rockchapel will have to wait till December 2nd to play their Munster semi final against either Kenmare or Waterford opposition. While it's a 4 week wait I think this could benefit this team who IMO have a great chance of bringing back the Munster junior trophy to Cork for the first time in many years, probably since Canovee's victory a good few years back.

One of the most over rated players of the last 10/15 years.Because of the image of him being "nice" "gentleman" etc etc it creates the secenario whereby people seem to be afraid to criticise the guy! Some of his comments about Denis Walsh after he dropped him say it all about him showed his true colours on that one. Sean Og was/is no worse then others, but he gets portrayed as a saint, and a saint he is not. 2005 sportsperson of the year, he wasn't even the best player on the team, either of the O Conner twins would have been more deserving! Plus Tadh Kennelly achieved the small feat of winning an AFL premiership medal that year! perhaps he should have refused the award.please don't mention that Kerry player to me.the only award he should have received was for the most cynical foul.i don't know Sean og personally so couldn't comment he is charming or not.

You would be expecting more than a point from play at intermediate level from a player if they were a genuine intercounty hurling prospect
