Not bad looking, I think I'd take this over the OCZ Petrol & 3Gbps Octane. It has a JMicron controller, but like any low priced SSD, it seems to be hard to find good reviews (most reviews in a search are about the V+ which is Sandforce).

Earlier comments say that a firmware bug meant very slow writes (~30Mbps) but apparently it's been fixed.

I think it could be worthwhile for an old notebook or desktop that only has 3Gbps speeds, but I'd like to see the results after the firmware update.

Is it just me or have 7950s dropped a bit in price over the last week? I've been monitoring OCUK and normally all the models are at least £300 when not on offer, sometimes the VTX X-edition drops to £289.99. Now though, you can pick up a reference Powercolour for £269.99. Link

I am sceptical about it's brokenness as well

My uncle has fecked off with my power supply. (I think he wants the rig for himself.) He tested it with something from Maplin with nine other power supplies, they all give him volts or something and ours gave him zero volts on it. Would love to try the paper clip method , but my uncle /Dad will think it's some sort of crazy witch doctor technique that will kill us all. I'll inform my Dad of this and hopefully they'll see the light.

I like superflowers Amazon psus as much as the next guy, but I'm starting to get a little tired of that blue led fan. its so bright and cant be turned off. and the cables are fugly. they still say SLI ready on the PCIe cables. ew.

did I read that right/google translate it to say the 350W psu was tested all the way up to 538W?! that's seriously impressive. I also love that they use vantage and furmark.

I'm also a little sceptical about the psu being Doa. I've seen dodgy, but not doa. I'd test it properly before rma'ing, or they'll send it back and charge you for postage and probably wasting their time.

NTMK got the 1000W Amazon but it crashed whenever he put it under load on furmark with 2x6970's, which don't pull anywhere near 1KW, so its not impossible to get a dodgy one I guess.

I would like to echo the dislike for the blue LEDs in the amazon. I'm tempted to take them out, but that may not be the best idea, as I haven't a breeze what goes on inside a PSU.

My friend has an amazon and to be honest I can't even see the blue led. It seems a bit useless because it's not bright enough to give a full underglow , it's only a tiny bit at the back of the case

I'm sure if you have a window the glow would look unbalanced, though. Also depends which way you have your psu mounted. I always go for fan up because I don't like dust collecting from under the case.

only issue I have with it is I somehow broke the chair raising/lowering mechanism so I can't raise/lower it. not sure how I did that and I haven't been bothered taking it apart to have a look
