It was my first time watching Liverpool since the spurs game and I can see why carroll is getting a tough time. He is dreadful. His positioning and touch is appalling and even if he was bought for 1million, he still would be a flop. There was plenty of decent crosses in for him to get to the end of but he was either out on the wing or 2 or 3 yards behind the ball. Bellamy was a great signing, I was always impressed with him wherever he was, can be hot and cold, but when he is good, he's very good.

Stevie didn't do to bad but he is a crock and will most likely get injured soon enough, i cant still see Liverpool placing outside the the top four, don't think they are a threat to Arsenal and Chelsea in the fight for fourth.Carroll is like a drunk battering ram, clumsy and lacks quality, cant see him ever achieving anything at Liverpool, I reckon he misses being at the Toon. This also sums up your posting style perfectly. WUMs like the Muppet and boggles had a finese to their posts that made them very successful during their respective careers in the Liverpool thread but you just don't seem to have that knack for it. Can't really see you ever achieving much in this thread but goodluck with it anyway.

He never pre-empts a pass or possible deflection etc and his movement inside the box in non existent. He requires a cross that resembles a heat seeking missle with it's accuracy , and frankly there is probably two players in the current squad who get the head up quick enough to attempt one . Still could be a success but I think we need to change our whole formation and style to suit , which in turn makes us one dimensional and predictable to defend against , especially if you can cut out his supply of crosses etc. Looking forward I can't see how Kenny can/could facilitate a starting spot for Carroll . I can only see him being an impact sub to try something different if we are struggling with plan A , or maybe a limited number of games that we come up against certain sides that we go with the aerial threat , but even at that I'm still not sure he has it in his locker to become the "beast" of a player most are predicting . Only time will tell.
