I think any man who has listened to the way gay people are spoken of in most manly groups (nights out, football terraces, etc), would rather their child was not subjected to that. Put it this very un-pc way: if there was a "cure" for gay, a small harmless tablet you could give your baby to guarantee their straightness in later life, would you give it to them?
