HP Touchpad Thread (NO Discussion Of Personal Buying/Selling)

Just a heads up to people.

I'm in NY for the summer and I've just ordered 2 of these for $220.
HP have discontinued the Touchpad this week and are now letting them go for $99 (16GB) and $149 (32GB).

I know most of you aren't in the USA but treat this as a heads up to get a very good tablet, with Flash Player, at a knock-down price.

Probably if you bought them before the price drop was announced, unlikely they will if you bought one say today at full price.

can i ask a silly question, got an amazon order in, but ca't see what time the order was placed - where cna you see it? on amazon, or on email confirmation?

You could always try buying online and then if they won't give you the discount return it within 7 days under the distance selling act.

Seems like a lot of trouble to go to though.

You get an email as soon as you order. Just check the time on that.

No, but it did mention between 6 and 12 days for shipping (if they get the stock to honour.. which they won't!).

Thats what people were doing on Amazon, even before there was any price cut all 3 versions (including the unlaunched 64GB) went to the top of the sales chart.
